JJudge
There are no good mornings here.
SAServo [as Judge]
I'll decide if it's a good morning, or not.
JJudge
What was your name?
JJoe
What was my name? You mean, sir, I'm... finished? All washed up?
SAServo [as Joe]
86'd? Hasta luego, buckwheat?
JJudge
Well that depends on the evidence. Uh, your name?
JAJoel [as Joe]
Deep six out of here?
JJudge
Joseph Doakes... [begins shifting through papers] ...Doakes.
SAServo [as Judge]
Funny name.
JAJoel [as Judge]
Huh... Joseph Doakes... let's see, there's Dickweed, Dog, Dumbsh- Ah, here it is...
JJudge
[addressing Joe's past transgressions as a driver] Incidentally, was there any traffic law he didn't violate?
JJoe
Oh; I never hit-and-run.
[as Judge] Well, that changes everything!
JJudge
If you did, then you'd be booked in- [Angel clears his throat]
JJudge
-in a lower court.
JJudge
You never hit and run? Why that's so despicable of an act, I wouldn't even accuse you of it.
[as Judge, muttering] Never hit and run; why I oughta-
[after the crew of Bacchus III has successfully destroyed the Saysar weapon]
JCaptain Joe
I came up to tell you how proud I am of you guys. You're the greatest crew a captain ever had.
SAServo [as Joe]

[We are brought to a dull and rather gloomy industrial arts course in progress.]
[after several seconds of silence] Depressed yet?
JVJoe [voiceover]
You know, it's fun to have an idea.
MAMike [as Joe]
There, wasn't that fun?
[In voiceover, industrial arts nerd Joe talks about his beloved craft.]
JJoe
And you know, I like the feel of a board moving smoothly against a sharp saw.
MAMike [as Joe]
[luridly] ...then I thrust the nail into the soft, yielding wood...
JJoe
I like the smell of fresh wood chips and sawdust...
SAServo [as Joe]
[nervously] I put them in my underwear!
JJoe
...the bright glare of a welder...
CACrow [as Joe]
[wobbily] I like to sneak in and lay on the table saw!
JJoe
...the sharp whine of the power tools…
MAMike [as Joe]
...the piercing scream of a freshman…
JJoe
...or the dull tap-tap of tools on leather.
CACrow [as Joe]
[wobbily] Tap ta-tap-tap... I keep Popular Mechanics under my mattress!
The feeling of chaps with no pants!
Let it go, man! Shop class was a long time ago! It's OVER!
CACrow [as Joe]
[haltingly] These tools are my friends!
What about girls young man? Girls?
[Joe's buddy admires a piece of Joe's handywork.]
JSJoe's buddy
Wow, you made this?
MAMike [as Joe]
I'm making it for the Grand Wizard.
JSJoe's buddy
Ya know, this looks as good as furniture you'd buy in a store.
JJoe
It ought to, it's taken me long enough to make it.
JSJoe's buddy
Kinda slow, huh?
JJoe
Yeah, but I've learned after making this one that I can probably make another in about half the time.
CACrow [as Joe]
Still, your Mexicans do it real cheap.
JSJoe's buddy
How'd ya like this shop class, Joe?
JJoe
I like it swell. Why?
[Scene cuts to Joe's big eared buddy]
SAServo [as Joe's buddy]
Could you staple my ears back?
[Standing before a crude map, "Lieutenant" Joe addresses his extremely tiny Cuba invasion force.]
JJoe
Men, we're shoving off right after sundown...
CSCrow, Servo [as Men]
You shove off!
JJoe
…and I want to give you some idea of what to expect.
MAMike [as Joe]
There's 80,000 of them, and seven of us.
JJoe
At 12 o'clock midnight, we hit the beach. At 12:30 a patrol boat makes its nightly run. We have 30 minutes to scale 80 foot cliffs and clear the beach.
SAServo [as Joe]
Ted, you take Havana.
