Yeah, he is. But he doesn't bother me, and that's the whole point. I mean, at first he really got to me, but the more I ignored him, the easier it got. Plus, why should I care what he has to say? I'm doing what I love. And that's all that matters.
[The Louds smile at each other and forgive Lincoln for chewing him out, understanding they knew he was trying to help Lynn after all]
(The crowd flees the restaurant in fear, not wanting to deal with the Raging Bolhofners’ style; Upon seeing this, Lincoln decides what he must do to help his father)
Oh, honey, you must've been so delirious you trashed the house! I had no idea you were this sick. You need to get to bed immediately. [the porch then collapses, sending both her and her husband to the ground] But not here. Kids, come on. We have to go.
No. We'll stay with Aunt Ruth until the house is repaired. She'll be happy to help nurse you back to health. I should warn you, though, she'll want to show you her Malls of the Midwest slideshow.
Listen, change of plans. Coach Keck's stuck at the Gym Teacher's Convention, so I'll be in charge again next week. And that means more dodgeball! On Monday, you guys are playing the eighth graders.
Then we'll have our culprit! Rusty, that's a brilliant idea! Looks like it's time for an Action News Team undercover investigation!
[The Action News Team poses; Next morning… Lincoln, Clyde and Stella pop out from a bush in front of Katherine Mulligan's house, and watch her through the window as she drinks her coffee eats a bagel that popped out from the toaster, getting ready to start her day]
Okay, so Stella made a notebook of some "hot news leads", but they're all "fake." We "accidentally" drop it here by Principal Ramirez's car. As the "rat," she "finds it" and takes it to "the nest." Any questions?
The jig is up, Katherine "Shady Shader" Mulligan! The book Principal Ramirez was going to give you, is a bunch of phony news leaks we planted! Bam! [looks closely at the book cover] "Passion under the Pompeii Moon?" Uh-oh.
PRPrincipal Ramierz
[snatches the book from him, angrily] You bet you're "uh-oh." Ms. Mulligan and I are in a book club together. Now someone get me out of here.
[steps in front] I'm Katherine Mulligan, and I agree with these children. Sure, they got the story wrong. But they've got real drive. [giggles] It reminds me of me when I was starting out. I say they deserve a second chance.
[out of her mind; annoyed] Fine. [The Action News Team jump and share a high-five; exits the lake, wagging her finger] But no more wild goose chases or knocking principals in lakes.
[to her husband after Lisa leaves the kitchen, carrying the orange vase, mistaking it for the orange juice] Have you noticed Lisa's been acting a little off this week?
[First flashback shows Lisa bumping into a side table and gets dizzy; Second flashback shows her walking and bumping into the rail at the bottom of the stairway]
