[Dark clouds gather as Pikachu gathers its energy before charging in]
[The two Z-Moves come together in an explosive and exhilarating clash of strength!]
Alright, here we go...! FULL POWER!!
[Ash and Pikachu fight back as they expel more strength in a Kamehameha-style gesture! As the clash rages on, the background goes white, leaving only Ash and Pikachu in view.]

Ever since we got to the Alola region, we've felt this power in all kinds of places...
[A flashback montage of Ash and Pikachu's adventures through Alola plays.]
During our many trials and grand trials, we've met tons of new Pokémon, made new friends, and had lots of battles with rivals, too! And every time, we've always felt the power of Alola! So, now we're gonna become one with that power!

Getting to know what the world is like is a very important step. You'll have a broader perspective once you expand your horizons. [after thinking about what Olivia said about travelling the world to improve his skills, as well as realizing that his Alola journey is drawing to a close] I've got it! I've decided I want to go out and see the world! [Rotom Dex is confused] Pikachu, what do you say we go home? [Pikachu eagerly jumps onto Ash's shoulder] The world has more awesome things for us to see. There are tons more Pokemon out there! [Pikachu eagerly agrees to head into another new adventure. Keep in mind that because Ash officially won a League and is an official Champion, having Ash compete in more region Leagues after that would have been seen not only as a repetitive and tiresome storyline but also as a permanent regression in Ash's skills as a trainer.]
[The title card comes up. Note: In this episode, the usual title card jingle is replaced with dub music]
[voiceover] Thank you Alola! The Journey Continues!
[The scene cuts to Team Rocket in Bewear's den]
Ahhhhh! [Bewear stuffs honey in their mouths, with Wobbuffet going first, then James, Jessie, and finally Meowth] YUMMY!
[Mareanie pops up with some honey on her tentacle]

Marea? [Feeds Stufful and Mimikyu with some honey from her tentacle] Marea! [The R capsule rings] Mar?
Puh-lease! Who wants to see that bob-cut glasses goon gal while we eat?
Or that annoying Alolan Meowth big mouth?
[Mimikyu answers the R capsule and it opens]
[Giovanni appears on a hologram screen on the R capsule]
Well, good morning, team.
Yipes! It's the Boss! [They stand up to Giovanni]

I'll get to the point. I'm ordering you all back to headquarters.
Hooray! We're all going back to headquarters! [Everyone is horrified] Headquarters?!

[Mimikyu gives Stufful a fruit and Stufful eats it. It then becomes satisfied]

[Team Rocket are looking sad]
[A depressed Mimikyu admits to Meowth that it tried to fight Pikachu but ended up seeing itself as a monster upon looking at its reflection in the ocean]
Being down on your looks won't do you any good. This may be a good time to stop pretending and accept yourself for who you really are.

[makes garbled noises and cleans its disguise becoming happy again] [You're right! I should be a better Pokémon and accept for who I am!]
[As the Team Rocket Gang are ready to depart back to Kanto, they say goodbye to Bewear and hop into their balloon]

[taking a bow] Thank you for your hospitality.
[Bewear walks over to them scaring the group]

We're too young to get squished! [Fortunately, Bewear gives them a gentle hug]

Okay, we hate to eat and run but...[the rest of the gang joins in]...later!

You see, ever since Pikachu and I came to Alola, we've met you and tons of Pokémon. We learned lots of things at the Pokémon School. Yeah, it's been really the best, but now, I think... I'm going back home for a while and then I'm going to check out some other places.
Pika! [Jumps down onto Ash's right arm]
That'll give me a new chance to meet more new people and tons of new Pokémon and have a lot of Pokémon battles and get stronger and stronger. Someday, I'll do what I set out to do - become a Pokémon Master!
[realising that Ash has a new goal in life] You're not just talking about this vacation, you're really going...
[putting his right hand over his mouth] Aw, man. How about a warning, huh?
Yeah, really! W-What a shock!
The only surprise today was supposed to be Lillie's party.
It seems like I'm getting nothing but surprises, you know?
Ash, I'm sure you can become a Pokémon Master.

[At the docks, near a cruise ship, the Pokémon are saying their goodbyes to Lillie and her family's Pokémon. Meanwhile, Professor Burnet is hugging Lusamine who is dressed in blue]
Take care, Lusamine. [She and Lusamine step back and reveal Gladion and Lillie who are also wearing smart clothes to wear on their journey of searching for their father, Mohn]
[The camera cuts to Ash and his friends who have come with them to the docks]
I'll have a souvenir from Mossdeep City waiting for you when you get back, Lillie!

This calls for a photo, so gather round, everyone! [Everyone stands or sits in front of the cruise ship that Lillie and her mother and brother will be boarding] Now everybody say, "Silvally!" [Takes the photograph]
[Soon, the cruise ship leaves the dock, and Lillie, Gladion and their mother Lusamine are among the passengers. They see everyone on the dock waving goodbye, including Ash, Lana, Sophocles, Professor Kukui, Professor Burnet, Faba and Hobbes. Then, after several flashbacks, Lillie runs to the stern of the ship to give Ash a proper farewell]
Ash, can you hear me?! You know what? I'm really happy I got to meet you! You helped me out so much! After meeting you, I was finally able to become friends with Pokémon!
THANK YOU! [both Snowy and Megearna also bid farewell to Ash]

Scor...[shakes the spit off, but some hangs at the edge of its nose.]
[points to the train] See that? Your Double Kick saved everybody on that train.

Scor?? [Goh wipes the last of the spit off its nose]
[Scorbunny starts tearing up and smiles, but becomes dejected at the fact Goh refused its offer to join him, beginning its journey back to Wyndon. However, would Goh really let Scorbunny go back, when it has gotten this far just to join him?]
Hold on! [Scorbunny stops.] You know, you were great out there. That's why...I want the first Pokémon I catch to be you!
[Goh walks toward Scorbunny, taking out a Poké Ball.]
You ready? [Scorbunny, realizing what is happening, excitedly perks up!] And the best way to catch is to throw a curve ball!
Now, Poké Ball, go!! [Goh throws the Poké Ball, but the curve causes it to miss, surprising both Goh and Scorbunny.]

[Catches the Ball with its foot before kicking it up.] Scor! Bun!
[Scorbunny goes inside the Ball, which vibrates a few times before chiming, revealing the catch is successful.]

[At the Cerise Research Laboratory, the Piplup is munching its food as Ash checks it out on his Rotom Phone]

Piplup, the Penguin Pokémon, a Water-Type. Piplup is a proud Pokémon and an excellent swimmer, and it has a layer of down that keeps out of the cold.
So weird. I wonder where that Piplup came from.
That, Pokémon sure can eat a lot.

S23 E13The Climb to Be the Very Best!

[noticing something is off] It can't be! [Ash is revealed to be battling without a Dynamax band] That young man! He's in a Dynamax battle without a Dynamax band!

Now let's not get stuck in the weeds. See this is about how you want to battle Leon, right?
[nods in agreement] Bingo!
I get it. I get it alright. You know, trying to get a battle with Leon is not as easy as you'd think. Just to get into the World Coronation Series in the first place, you enter online and build up your ranking by having lots of Pokémon battles.
Your position compared to others, and based on battling records and statistics, the eight highest ranked trainers then form what's called the Master Class. At the end of the class match season, there's a tournament where trainers in the Master Class battle each other and the winner becomes Monarch.
So does that mean if I submit my entry, I can battle against Leon?
It doesn't work that way.
Based on whether an entered win or losses in Pokémon battles and looking at the content of battles, entrances get separated into four distinct classes. All recently entered trainers are put into Normal Class. Then, they battle other normal class trainers, and lift up their scores. And those ranked between 100 and 999 are Great Class and above that those ranked between 9 and 99 are Ultra Class.
Of course he's in Master Class, but not only that, he's number one! So Ash, for you to battle him, you have to start climbing the ranks to get up to Master Class. [Now you know why Ash cannot compete in the Galar League]
