I've been eager myself. It's not a crime.

[Briscoe and Logan arrest a rock star]
We'll sue you for false arrest. We're going to get our lawyers.
Oh, lawyers. I'm so scared. You hear that, Mike?
Oh, I'm shaking in my blue suede shoes.
This is harassment. False arrest. You'll hear from our lawyers.
Oh, no. Not the lawyers. I'm scared. You scared, Mike?
I'm shakin' in my blue suede shoes.
Stone: Yes, Julia Wood willingly joined Mr. C-Square in his limo. And, yes, she willingly went up to his hotel room. And, yes, she even thought of having sеx with him. But to give her the benefit of the doubt, Mr. Clarence "C-Square" Carmichael is rich. And to some people in this courtroom, he's attractive. And, of course, he's world-famous. But Julia Wood did not ask to be thrown down on the bed. She did not ask to have her legs pried open. She did not ask to be pinned down and forcibly penetrated. Julia Wood said no. And whatever expectations she had going up to that hotel suite, once she got there, she changed her mind. And that's her right. But in Mr. C-Square's world, a woman's rights are of no consequence. Sеx is an entitlement of his stardom. Julia Wood ain't a lady. She a bitch, an amusement. To be held prisoner and used until he decides that he's through with her. In our country, one of the fundamental rights is the right of any of us to say no. We do it in our religion. We do it in our politics. And in our workplace. And in our world, when a woman says no and a man ignores her, that's rapе in the first degree.

[testifying against a racist killer] I remember the voice of the first white man who told me not to come in his store. I remember the voice of the doctor who told me I had a healthy son. And I remember the voice of the man who took out a gun and shot me.
[after a phone call] Tunney has been out on the streets since 4:00 this afternoon.
What?!
Where's our notice?
Some clerk's dog ate it!
There are exigent circumstances here. Tunney could be pulling the trigger while we're talking.
If he's your killer. Mr. McCoy's motion made the point that one of these murders was committed while Mr. Tunney was in jail.
By a copycat, and he's not linked to the killings that Tunney's charged with.
I suggest you take your argument to the appellate division.
Because you won't admit you made a mistake?
Keep up that tone, Mr. Stone, and I'll put you in contempt.
[worried] Ben...
You'll jail me, and you won't jail a mass murderer?
Ben! I'm sure Judge Rodriguez will hear an appeal expeditiously.
We don't have time for that.
We can get an order in half an hour. I used to work for him.
Fine.
Thank you, Your Honor.
Give her a raise, Ben. You were about to walk out of here in cuffs.

I don't mind when you want to make new law, Norman, but next time I wish you'd choose a more deserving client.
We can't always choose them, Ben.
So it doesn't concern you that justice won't be done?
My only concern is the law. I'll leave justice to a more majestic authority.
[an elderly witness has called the police department]
Any one of you have a girlfriend in a nursing home?
That would be Lennie.
[after Danielle Keyes beats a guilty verdict on appeal] Is there ever a point where this actually stops bothering you?
[sighs] No, there really isn't.

This whole story plays both ways. The father had accidents. The son was abused, or it was the other way around. But the father's not here to defend himself, so the jury could give this kid a college going-away party.
Kills his father, the mother defends him. Doesn't the sister have a stake in all this?
We scheduled her for a statement. She didn't come in. Should I try again?
Why? She didn't say anything before, why would she start now?
Before, her father was just bruised. Now, he's buried.
You claim that you loved your father.
I did. I did love him.
How did you show that love? By hiding him from your friends? By telling him he's nothing? You may call that love. Most of us call it shame.

My mother used to beat me with one hand and hold a rosary with the other. The next time I enter a church, it'll be in a pine box carried by six of my friends.
My old lady had a rosary in her left hand while she beat the crap out of me with her right. The next time I go to a church, six of my closest buddies will be carrying me.
Next, I'd like to see you yank out the tablecloth and leave the glasses standing. No way you should have won this case.
I just sold them a bit of my own snake oil.
