"Okay, we're going to hit the grounds running!" [She shows Lori the advanced coffee machine] "Let's start your training with the espresso machine." [The machine sparkles; Luan taps on it] "This baby is going to be your best friend. Treat her right, and she won't give you any trouble." [The machine puffs up some steam]
"One hot BKJP coming up! Speaking of drinks..." [She tosses the menu to Lori which she tries to catch it.] "You're gonna need to learn the menu. You've got your Royal Roast, Double Royale, Joe-ppuccino, Macchia-joe, Frappu-Beano..." [She pulls over a tray with a cup of coffee, a coffee bag, and a green pot.]"...Burnt Cremé Brulé Latte. And a slow joe in the green pot. That's decaf." [Lori begins getting overwhelmed by Luan's different coffee types racing by her.] "But then there's also half caf, regular caf, double half regular caf..." [That insignia hits her face, so she grabs it and places it aside.] "... and half caf decaf." [The last insignia pops.]
"Then, you've got your sizes:" [She begins stacking cups] Baby Bean, tall bean, high bean, and..." [She reveals a tiny cup.] ... "The Bean Kahuna, which is also the smallest."
"When making latte art, it's all in a wrist." [She dips the stirrer into her coffee cup and mixes it. The foam inside takes a shape of a heart.] "Voila! A perfect cappuccino heart!
"Fabulous! Can you get those decafs, Lori? I'm getting swamped with managerial duties after one of my own favorite employees showed up late. Not trying to name names at all."
That's the other small thing, care to remember? Huh! Guess I AM being good at my job!
[Luan screams angrily and Lori does the same, both having enough of each other's immature behavior. They stop fighting as they see the seniors have gone crazy and hyper.]
"Wow! The way you handled that was amazing! None of this would've happen if I were mature enough to let you be in charge. I'm sorry. You really are a bean boss."
[Luan smiles at what Lori said as she accepts an apology.]
[hiding in the kitchen cupboard with Hops while avoiding Lily; sighs] I love Lily, but being with her the other time is... a lot. [stands up] Sometimes I just need… [accidentally hits the top of the cupboard] Ow! [slumps down] Space. What do I do?
Yeah. Thanks, Luce, but I already know exactly what it's gonna look like. I'm gonna be triple sport pro-athlete, have five championship rings, three deodorant commercials, two Christmas movies, and my own cereal: Crunchy Junk. Yep. I've gotten it figured out.
[carrying a big trophy] That glass ball is 100% accurate, Lucy! I did end up winning the pageant after everyone else got food poisoning. Thanks again for the reading. [walks off to her room, next door]
Told you! My future is gonna be messed up for sure! I bet this is all because I missed practice today for that dentist appointment! Who cares about plaque anyway?!
Yep. Totally hear you. But just to be safe… [dashes into the kitchen and carries the refrigerator with all of her strength] I'm gonna stay locked in my room until my future starts. [walks upstairs to her room] See you in 10 years!
[knocks on Lynn and Lucy's door, holding the salami and cheese while panting from running up and down the stairs; tiredly] LJ, can I please have the milk and butter? [Lynn hands him over the milk and butter] And could you put back the salami and cheese?
LLynn
Thanks, Dad. Sorry about all those trips up and down the stairs.
