[After performing "That's What Christmas is All About"]
Merry Christmas, Mr. Grouse.
We all chipped in and got you something.
[Lincoln gives him the present]
So you can go see your family for Christmas tomorrow.
And since you can't be with them tonight... [Rita and Lynn Sr. finally reveal their faces] ...we're bringing our family to you.
GMr. Grouse
LOUDS! [in a warmer tone] You've made this the best Christmas ever. Thank you. I'd say you all landed permanent spots on Santa's nice list.
GMr. Grouse
Even you. [Lola hugs Mr. Grouse's leg]
GMr. Grouse
Well, what are you waiting for? Everyone inside!
These are for later, Mr. Grouse. First, we need to get you trained so you'll fit into the world of IT.
GMr. Grouse
Ah, you kids and your fancy abbreviations. In my day, we just said "It".
Okay, Mr. Grouse. Here's a laptop. Boot it up.
GMr. Grouse
Will you settle for a penny loafer? [hits the laptop with a shoe]
No, no! Not like that! Like this. [turns it on]
GMr. Grouse
Eh...alright. [opens a window in the house]
[laughs] Good one. But wrong. Like this. [opens a window on the laptop]
Now you need to empty the trash on your computer.
GMr. Grouse
Eh, whatever you say. [empties a wastebasket all over the computer]
Yeah, I walked right into that one.
What are you punks trying to pull?!
MMMee-maw
Mr. Grouse, what happened to you?
GMr. Grouse
[with his face all green with envy] What happened is I ate your rutabagas! [holds up a rotten rutabaga and gags]
You call this milk? I call it sludge!
[Cheryl and Meryl are covered in scratches and itchy lumps from wearing their wool-made dresses]
You're telling us! We tried on our new dresses made from your "wool" and got the itchies!
We had to cancel our double-date with Errol and Daryl!
It's summer break for the Louds! That starts to mean three months of nonstop fun!
GMr. Grouse
It's summer break for the Louds. That starts to mean three months of nonstop torture.
[The Loud family is setting up decorations around the house to welcome Lori back, who's taking a gap year from Fairway University]
[to the viewers] It's a big day in the Loud House. Lori's taking a gap year from college and moving back home while she decides to remember if golf is really the future. Which is awesome because Lori's always kinda been the glue that holds us together. Even Mr. Grouse is psyched.
GMr. Grouse
Hey, Louds! I found these old clubs while cleaning out my garage. Maybe Lori can help me practice my swing.
GMr. Grouse
[angrily waving a handful of bills] What in tarnation is going on in here, Loud?! I just got the water bill, the electric bill, and the cable bill for this apartment, and they're higher than my blood pressure! And with your family next door, that's really high!
[looks over the bills; shocked] What?! How could they be so bad?! I'm literally never here! I don't know how this happened! I also… don't have the money to pay them.
GMr. Grouse
[swipes the bills out of her hands] Fine. I'll pay them, but I gotta tell ya, I had no idea you were gonna be such an expensive tenant. [groans] You know what? I think it might be better if you find somewhere else to live.
[guilty] I totally understand, Mr. Grouse. I'll start looking for a new place right away. I'm really sorry.
[Leni, Lynn and the twins exit the bathroom, all disgraced when they heard everything and realized what they've done]
You don't have anything to be sorry for, Lori.
Yeah, this is our fault. We're responsible for the high bills.
We've been using your apartment when you weren't here.
[snapping furiously with her face in red of rage] (YOU) WHAT?!
We knew we were respecting your privacy, but we didn't realize we were ruining your life.
To show you how sorry we are, we'll find a way to earn enough money to pay your bills.
GMr. Grouse
[opens the letter and reads it] "Lincoln, sorry I missed you. I'm leaving for my timeshare in Tampa. Be back in a long month. Signed, the Amazing Brailster." [alarmed] WHAT?! A whole ding-dang month?! [tosses it away] Lincoln! W-we gotta get to the airport, now!
GMr. Grouse
[grabs him] No time to explain! [runs off, carrying him]
GMr. Grouse
[shocked] You?! But I saw your plane take off!
ABAmazing Brailster
Maybe that was just an illusion! [gets dejected] Or maybe they wouldn't let me fly with sixteen doves. [snaps his fingers, and his suitcases appear beside him, along with his doves; teleports to the handcuffs, observing them] So this is your magic snafu? [Lincoln nods shamefully] Well, at least it's not a quarter situation again. [pulls a cloth out from his sleeve, and covers the handcuffs with it] Listen to me, the Amazing Brailster. This magic wand may not just failster! [waves his magic wand, and the word "Presto" appears against a cloud of smoke; removes the cloth, the handcuffs have been removed from Lincoln and Mr. Grouse's own wrists]
GMr. Grouse
[amazed] Wow, how did you do that?
ABAmazing Brailster
[holds up the handcuffs] Release button on the side. [zoom in on a button on the handcuffs] It's in the magicians' manual.
GMr. Grouse
Well, I guess I must get going. And, sorry again, Lincoln. [walks off, as Lincoln feels sorry for him]
Doo-Wop, wait! You know, I was about to head back and hang out with my own favorite friends, but you must join us.
GMr. Grouse
Really? You mean it?
Yeah! Super flush, free snacks, a choreographed doo-wop song? You're a fun guy!
GMr. Grouse
Aww, thanks, Lincoln! [reaches into his pocket] I do need to have a couple quarters burning a hole in my pocket. Eh, let's go to Gus' and grab us some root beer floats!
Or I could show you my famous vanishing quarter trick. [Mr. Grouse glares at Lincoln, knowing where that go] Root beer floats it is.
[Mr. Grouse chuckles, and they try to head off, snapping their fingers]
[Panics as her lottery ticket prank backfired] "Aaaaaaah!!! This is terrible!"
GMr. Grouse
[Not listening] "I'm still working on the name."
[Still panicking] "NO!" [grabs him by his collar] "I'm talking about the money you spent!"
