Darla quotes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Darla

[about Angel] I made him. There was a time when we shared everything, wasn't there Angelus? You had a chance to come home, to rule with me in the Master's court for a thousand years, but you threw that away because of her. You love someone who hates us. You're sick. And you'll always be sick. And you'll always remember what it was like to watch her die.

Buffy

[about the mausoleum] Well, this is nice. I-it's a little bare, but a dash of paint, a few throw pillows... call it home!

Darla

Who the hell are you?

Buffy

You mean there's actually someone in this town who doesn't know already? Whew, that's a relief! I'm telling you, having a secret identity in this town is a job of work.

Xander

Buffy, we bail now, right?

Not yet!

Buffy

Okay, first of all, what's with the outfit? Live in the now, okay? You look like DeBarge!

Buffy

Now, we can do this the hard way, or... well, actually there's just the hard way.

Darla

That's fine with me!

Buffy

Are you sure? Now, this is not gonna be pretty. We're talking violence, strong language, adult content...

Darla

Do you know what the saddest thing in the world is?

Buffy

Bad hair on top of that outfit?

Darla

To love someone who used to love you.

Buffy

You guys were involved?

Darla

For several generations.

Buffy

Well, you've been around since Columbus. You are bound to pile up a few exes. You're older than him, right? Just between us girls, you are looking a little worn around the eyes.

Darla

[about Angel] I made him. There was a time when we shared everything, wasn't there, Angelus? You had a chance to come home, to rule with me in the Master's court for 1,000 years. But you threw that away because of her. You love someone who hates us. You're sick, and you'll always be sick. And you'll always remember what it was like to watch her die. You don't think I came alone, do you?

Buffy

I know I didn't.

Darla

[chuckles] Scary. Scarier. Oh, don't worry. Bullets can't kill vampires. They can hurt them like hell, but...

Xander

Did you just hear...

Darla

So many body parts, so few bullets. [chuckles] Let's begin with the kneecaps. No fun dancing without them. [groans] Close, but no heart. [groans]

Xander

We need to distract her... fast.

Willow

Buffy, it wasn't Angel who attacked your mom, it was Darla!

Darla

Come on, Buffy. Take it like a man. [Angel stabs and kills Darla] Angel?
