Hi kids. I'm Larry the Cucumber. Welcome to the very first VeggieTales home-improvement video. I hope you're ready to monkey wrench. I know I am. [hops over to the sink] What we're going to do today is change this old leaky fixture on the sink. We're going to replace it with a new one, which will be quite attractive and last for years to come. Oh, and by the way, it's very important with any plumbing job to shut off the water supply. So I had my assistant Jimmy turn off the water to the kitchen. [twists the wrench]
Oh... you meant the kitchen sink. [faucet explodes and sends Larry flying in a blast of water] I thought we were working on bathrooms and decks.
Now, kids, we're gonna sing along with one of my favorite songs, "The Bunny Song".
[offscreen] Monsieur Bob, we're not supposed to sing ze bunny song!
Oh-ho-ho! Thank you for pointing that out, Jean-Claude. But this is the new and improved "Bunny Song". This is the one we're supposed to sing.
Hi kids. I'm Larry the Cucumber. Welcome to the very first VeggieTales success video. Are you ready to make millions of dollars in real-estate with no money down? I know I am.
Don't you see? This is a sing-along video!
Ohhhhh, a sing-along video. I like sing-along videos. That's when you put the words at the bottom of the screen so people can sing along at home, right?
Oh, the kids are gonna love that. What song should we do first?
[rolls his eyes since the show's almost over] Never mind. [leaves]
What? [follows Bob] Hey Bob! Guess what? I bought a whole chocolate factory with no money down.
[first lines; Bob and Larry are on the countertops]
Hi, kids, and welcome to VeggieTales. I'm Bob the Tomato.
And I'm Larry the Cucumber. And we're here to answer your questions.
That's right. So... who's got a question?
[a short pause as they both look around and think]
Oh, hey! I just remembered! I got an e-mail from a kid named Ezzio Vietti in Hackensack, New Jersey.
You know, Bob, e-mail. Aren't you wired, online, [sways his hips] surfing the web? HTML, good buddy.
Oh. I got cable last month.
You are so early 90s. [Bob is offended] Anyway, Ezzio said he just did something that he knew he wasn't supposed to do. Now his friends are telling him to lie about it so he won't get in trouble. [turns to Bob] What should he do?
Ooooh, a lie could be a dangerous thing. [looks in other direction] Do we have any stories about that?
[turns back to Larry] Huh?
The same thing happened to Junior Asparagus once!
It did? I don't remember.
Ezzio, grab your popcorn, turn down the lights, and get ready for... "Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space!" Roll film! [hops off]
Huh? Larry! [the countertop lights shuts off, leaving him in the dark both figuratively and literally]
[Jimmy and Jerry Gourd are watching a meteor on the screen in the science lab.]
I'm bored, Jerry. B-O-R-D, bored. Why did we want to work at the Bumblyburg science lab? Cause we wanted to see space aliens. And what have we seen in two long years? Huh? Nothing! Nothing, N-U-T-... Well, you know, nothing.
"Watch the screen," they said, "keep your eyes on the screen." So we watched the screen for two years and what have we seen? Nothing!
[An alarm begins to blare with red light flashing.]
And then there's the light. "If this light ever flashes, something from space is about to hit Bumblyburg! Alert LarryBoy immediately!"
Jimmy! [starts to tremble]
Like that'll ever happen, I'm telling you, Jerry, this is the most boring job on Earth. [Jerry silently gulps, he stands next to him.] Maybe we can get our old jobs back at Mr. Slushy! What?
[He and Jerry look at the satellite image and starts to tremble, and they look at the button for the LarrySignal. The camera cuts to a building top with the LarrySignal as it activates.]
The tea party is almost ready. We just need one more plate for Mr. Snuggly.
Hmm. Another plate. [gets an idea] I just know where to get one!
[Junior and Laura looks up to see the Art Bigotti bowling plate on the top shelf.]
Um, that looks like a special plate. Maybe we should find another one.
[hops on the small table] Oh, it is a special plate. My dad says, "That's Art Bigotti! The greatest player that ever rolled the ball! Only 200 plates made, it's collectable!" [hops on the shelf]
Let's just find another plate.
Mr. Snuggly is a very special bear, he deserves his special plate. I'm sure my dad won't mind.
[Junior makes a tip, but pushes back the shelf to stand it. Then one of the books flicks the plate holder off, and the plate lays at the edge of the top shelf. Then the plate falls off the shelf and shatters on the floor into pizza slice sizes. Junior and Laura are shocked at it.]
Oh! I just remembered. I was supposed to wash my, um... I have to take out the, um... I gotta go. [hops off and leaves]
[after Junior sings "It's Laura's Fault"] Oh... My. Well if that's what you say happened, well, I trust you, Junior. But I'm very surprised at Laura. I'm gonna have to call her father right away.
[Passes by Junior and Fib as Percy, Laura and Lenny arrives to confront him.]
[runs into a nearby alleyway] Uh, if you need me I'll be over here.
Huh? [he looks to Laura, Lenny and Percy]
[they argue about Junior's lies in unison]
Lenny says he didn't break the plate. Laura says she didn't break the plate.
It's a great, big, ugly lie!
No, no, that's not what I said at all. You didn't break the plate, and you didn't break the plate! No. It was these space aliens. They came down, and they grabbed these cows. And they switched brains with the cows. And the cows... with the brains of the space aliens... broke... the plate! [Looks at his friends]
Funny. I've just seen that same thing happen in a movie. "Invasion of the Cow Snatchers!"
It's another lie! [a sound of thunderous footsteps emerge while Percy talks] Nothing but a big... fat... ugly!
Huh? [looks up in fear] F-F-F-F-F-Fib?!
Hi, Junior! [he grabs him]
[being grabbed] What are you doing?
Don't worry, Junior. A little fib couldn't hurt anybody. Right?! [Fib cackles]
[The Fib crushes the taxi, while he starts walking on rampage, carrying Junior with him.]
Help! He's got me! I can't... get... free!
[Larry and Alfred are playing Candy Land, stomach growling]
I'm still stuck in the Molasses Swamp. I've been here for 38 turns. Your turn, Alfred.
AAlfred (Archibald)
Right, let's see. [draws a card] Oh, look! I get to go all the way to Princess Lolly! What luck! HA! Your turn.
[draws a card] Still stuck. I sure hope the rest of Bumblyburg is having more fun than I am.
[Larry looks out the window to see the Larry-Signal flashing urgently. He and Alfred immediately stand up]
Alfred, I've got work to do. Consider our game... postponed.
[Fib crushes a car with his foot, then about to step on a bus when...]
Fib! Why are you doing this to me?! I thought you were my friend!
That's the thing about fibs, Junior, we grow. Now that I'm big, it's my turn to call the shots and you belong to me!
[offscreen] Not so fast, monster!
[turns to see LarryBoy on the LarryMobile, confronting him] Huh?
[as he, Laura and Lenny are hiding] If anyone can stop that fib, Larry-Boy can.
[Cut to LarryBoy standing on the LarryMobile.]
Why won't you come and make me, little purple man?
If that's the way it's gonna be! [jumps back in and shuts the hatch]
[to Junior; as he is about to climb the water tower] Let's see if your little purple friend can help you up here. [cackles]
[LarryBoy revs faster down to the water tower]
Now once you get up to speed, all you have to do is press the green button... [becomes confused] No, no, the blue button.
Alfred! I'm going to run out of road! Which button is it?!
The blue button! Press the blue button!
[LarryBoy presses the blue button and wipers pop out]
[stressed out] The green button! It's the green one!
[LarryBoy hits it and the horn sound off]
[Cut to Percy and Laura watching the LarryMobile]
[Cut back to LarryBoy in shock as the LarryMobile is about to hit the water tower]
Stop yelling at me! No yelling! Yell, yell... [gets an idea] YELLOW!
[LarryBoy closes his eyes and presses the yellow button, the LarryMobile transforms into the LarryPlane with the wheels popping off and wings popping out. The plane lifts up and steers left before it hits the water tower.]
[After the Fib catches LarryBoy and squeezes his left suction ear out.]
Alfred Yes, Larry. How is it going?
I think now would be a good time for you to tell me how I can stop this lie.
Yes, yes, yes! here comes the answer now! Um, according to my calculations, you can do... nothing.
[irritated; after a pause] WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT BEFORE I JUMPED ON HIS HEAD?!?!
[embarrassed] Well, my calculations were not yet finishes.
[to Junior] Even a little lie can get really big, really fast, and a big lie can just swallow you up, and Junior, you made a really BIG LIE!!!! [cackling]
[The Fib is preparing to eat LarryBoy]
Hmmmm... sort of looks like candy.
No really! It's spandex! It's quite bitter! ALFRED!
It looks like...! It looks like...! [accidentally unplugs the LarryComputer in panic] AAAAAAAHH!!! AAAAAAAHH!!!
ALFRED! What's happening?!
AAAAAAAHH!!! [sees the plug to the computer, plugs it in and watches it warm up] Boot, you transistorized tormentor! BOOOOOT!!!!!!!!
Goodbye, Bumblyburg! [gets eaten]
[sees the results] It's Junior! It's Junior! Junior can stop the Lie!
[As The Fib is about to chew on LarryBoy, Junior realizes and finally says...]
I did it! [the crowd gasps with Fib saying "Hmm?"] I broke the plate! [The Fib spits out LarryBoy and becomes dizzy] I said Laura broke the plate and that was a lie! [The Fib shrinks] I said Lenny broke the plate and that was a lie too! [The Fib shrinks again, forcing him to use both hands to hold Junior begging him not to do it] It was me. I'm the one who did it. It was all my fault.
[The Fib gives a disgruntled look, knowing his fate is sealed, and he finally kicks the bucket by vanishing from existence and Junior is free. He lands next to LarryBoy as the crowd smiles in relief.]
So, how do I get down from here?
There's a problem I know I can handle!
[last lines of "Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space!"; Junior is brought down to his dad, with Larry-Boy's plunger holding him.]
Dad, I'm really sorry about your plate.
Oh, Junior, I'm sure it was an accident. I just wish you would have told me right away.
I thought you'd be really mad at me.
Junior, you're much more important to me than any old bowling plate.
I guess I should be punished, huh?
MMom
I think what you've been through today was punishment enough. What do you think?
I think you're right. Let's just make sure that from now on we get the true story. The first time.
[They gather around for a group hug.]
Aw, doesn't it just warm your heart? and it's because of one man, one plunger-headed hero always ready when Bumblyburg needs him- [looks back up to see LarryBoy missing] LarryBoy? [The veggies starts to leave.] Woop. There he goes again.
