Folks, it would not be understatement to say this will be one of the finest matches you'll see anywhere! Fasten your seatbelts; this battle is about to begin! Let's see what battlefield they'll be fighting on!
[The wheel flashes through the four battlefields a few times before stopping on the rock battlefield.]

[The crowd chatters in awe as the plain battlefield covering opens to bring up a very rocky battlefield, which will make for lots of strategic plays.]

[Ash and Misty's Pokémon amp up their cheering, knowing of Blastoise's threat to Ash's path to victory over his rival.]

[Gary's Blastoise has knocked out Ash's Bayleef, leaving him with three Pokémon left while his rival still has five.]

Ladies and gentlemen, we'll take a five-minute intermission here, giving Ash time to regroup after losing three of his Pokémon.

Well, it makes sense. Gary IS using a Water Pokémon.

Gary was always the confident one taking the lead with Ash right behind, struggling to keep up with him!
He may not admit it, but I think that Gary considers Ash his most important friend of all.

[A buzzer sounds, signaling the end of the intermission.]
[Ash and Pikachu are sitting on a tree, depressed that their longtime travel partners Brock and Misty have now left them for new ambitions.]

[Pikachu looks up, appearing to notice something.]

[A trail of sparkles moves through the clouds.]
[The sparkles are revealed to belong to the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, who Ash and Pikachu saw on that fateful day they first began their journey.]
[Ash and Pikachu watch as Ho-Oh flies away.]
I know where it's headed. It's headed to the Hoenn Region. That's where all those Pokémon I've never seen before are. And all those battles that I'm destined to fight in.
[Final lines. As the boat inches closer to its landing spot in Hoenn, we see new Pokémon native to the region, including Wingull, Pelipper, Sharpedo, and Wailmer.]
Wow, awesome! I've never seen any of these Pokémon! I can't wait for Pikachu to wake up and check out all of these cool new Pokémon with me too! [Ash runs back inside to wake his best buddy up. However, Pikachu is breathing rather heavily...]
Pikachu! Pikachu, wake up! You gotta see this! We're in the Hoenn region, and--
[Ash reaches out his hands to wake up Pikachu, but its cheek sparks electricity, causing Ash to recoil.]

[struggling and sparking electricity] Pika... Pika...
[Pikachu has become sick from its earlier encounter with Team Rocket, where the evil trio used a giant electromagnetic device that absorbed its energy.]
[bending down to Pikachu's level] Pikachu! What's wrong! Are you okay? [Pikachu's electricity causes Ash's hand to recoil again.] You're burning up! You must have a bad fever!

[The text "NEXT TIME... A NEW BEGINNING!" appears, ending the original series on a cliffhanger.]
[The Team Aqua Grunt and his Crawdaunt are in his speedboat, speeding away from Mr. Briney]

Okay, we're close to the rendezvous point.

Crawdaunt, what? Huh? [Looks back to see that the S.S. Wingull, Mr. Briney's high tech boat, is pursing them] Where'd that boat come from?

[from inside the S.S. Wingull] He's picking up speed!

[Then, Ash and Pikachu see Triangle Rock in the distance]

Hey, Ash, what's the name of the next town we're going to?

[disappointed] That's great.
Well, I happen to know, our next stop is Fallarbor Town.

[Max gets out his PokéNav]
Yeah, this says the next gym is in Lavaridge Town.
Well, if Lavaridge Town is my next badge, then that's where we're going.

Now wait just a minute, Ash! Nurse Joy said the next Pokémon Contest is in Fallarbor Town, so we're going there!

We'll do both. [The camera cuts to his PokéNav which has two red dots flashing] Those two towns are almost right next to each other.
Great, then why don't we go to Fallarbor Town right now? [turns to Ash] And after that, we can head to Lavaridge Town for your gym battle.
Sounds like a good plan to me.
Okay, I know when I'm outvoted.

Then let's hit the road, you guys, and Fallarbor Town, look out!
[The title card comes up]
[voiceover] Let Bagons Be Bagons.
[A Bagon leaps into the air]

Baaaaaaa... [Starts diving down towards Ash and his friends] ....Gon!
[Ash and his friends run away from the falling Bagon, but Bagon hits a rock, destroying it on impact. Ash and his friends turn back. When the dust clears, they see Bagon who is now standing on the ground]
I think that Bagon's looking for a fight.
Fine then. Taillow, I choose you! [Sends out Taillow]
Bagon [turning to Taillow] Ba? [Starts racing against Taillow to the top of a rocky mountain and waits to attack] Bagon!
It's probably gonna use that same attack. Taillow, watch out!
[Bagon launches itself off the edge of the cliff]

Gon gon gon gon gon, Gon! [Falls down]
[Taillow stops flying for a moment, but Bagon misses it]

Taillow! [Flies upwards]
[Then, Bagon hits its head on a rock and stands its ground]
Now, Taillow, use Wing Attack.
[Then, Michelle, a woman dressed in purple appears on the scene]

[on her phone] Taillow: target spotted. Speed: 85, Angle: 34 degrees, Range to target: 16 metres, calculating probable coordinates for next collision vector. [The camera cuts to Taillow] Bagon, shift one metre to the left.
[Bagon jumps out of Taillow's path as Taillow swoops past]

[to Ash and his friends] Hey, if you fools all lost your minds, where do you get off launching a sneak attack on my Bagon like that?
What are you talking about? Your Bagon attacked us first!

Oh, yeah, well if it's a fight you're after, you've got your wish!
We were just innocently walking along the path when your Bagon came swooping down on us from the cliff.

[The cage that Pikachu is inside lands infront of Jessie and Nicholai]

[The camera cuts to Ash and his friends, James, Meowth and Wobbuffet racing to the cage]

[They get into a fight...]

[Until Wobbuffet walks away with Pikachu in the cage]

[Ash, Brock, May, Max, James and Meowth start chasing after Wobbuffet]

[The chase continues when Nicholai appears in his Zangoose costume]

Wait a second, they can't catch it. [A flashback with May's Skitty occurs] Because of the way it zigzags back and forth just like that Skitty did in the training exercise. [The flashback ends] Zangoose, you gotta move like Wobbuffet. Make zigzags!
[The chase continues until Jessie pops up]
[angrily] EVERYONE, STOP RIGHT NOW!
Aha. [Takes the cage off of Wobbuffet's head] I'll just take this!

[Ash and his friends are walking on a path beside the river]
