Scenes with Manny Rivera 179
ET El Tigre/Manny
[after shaving off Tony and Knuckles' beards and mustaches] Thought you could use a trim. [snips his fingers like a pair of scissors]
[Tony and Knuckles both grunt and regrow their beards and mustaches]
DB Don Baffi
Nobody sullies our mustaches. Well, now he pays a heavy price.
ET El Tigre/Manny
Go ahead, do your worst. Okay, maybe your second worst.
Too bad we got here late and they only had one costume left for you.
Manny
[wearing a princess kitten costume; dismayed] Princess Fluff-a-puff, master of the flying kittens.
Come on, you look adorable.
Manny
Never speak of this again.
[Manny and Frida are waiting excitedly in line at the movie theater to get tickets for…]
Manny
Chainsaw Ninjas VS. The Mutant Bloodworm!
WHOO! This is gonna be the best movie ever!
AM Assistant Manager
[as Manny climbs up to the ticket booth on a small ladder] Sorry, no children.
Manny
Ah, but I am no mere child. I am… [spins his belt buckle] EL TIGRE!
AM Assistant Manager
Yes? And I am… [spins his name tag] The Assistant Manager! [pushes Manny off the ladder] Next!
Manny
[offended] Oh, yeah? Well, who wants to see a lousy movie, anyway?
Manny
You sure about this?
Yeah. Mucho-grow plant food. The bottle says it'll make anything grow.
Well, you do look older. [Manny glares savagely at her; shrugs nervously] Gehhh…
Manny
I would give anything for a mustache! ANYTHING!
[Manny, Frida, and Raul face Dr. Chipotle Jr. and his guacamole monster, demanding to get back his El Tigre belt after finding out he switched it with a fake belt made out of aluminum foil and gum]
Manny
All right, Dr. Habanero!
Manny
I'm gonna get my belt back.
You haven't seen the last of me, El Tigre! [laughs and jumps into a pipe chute]
ET El Tigre/Manny
Dang! Dr. Paprika got away!
[calling out] CHĪPÔTLE!!!
Nope. That's the escape hatch. He just jumped into the incinerator chute.
[burned and battered] I detest you people.
[After Raul rips himself off from Manny's face and flies away as Manny and Frida wave goodbye to him…]
Manny
You know, Frida, I really learned… [painfully] EE-YOOOOW!!!! [passes out]
[satisfied] Well said, dude. Well said.
Manny
Dad! Why'd you lock us in my room with a pizza?! [notices his mother] Hey, Mom! [dashes over to her and they hug]
Manny! [chuckles awkwardly] I'm so glad you're here. And Frida, too. Oh, good.
Maria, I must speak to you… alone. [Cut to them in his room] I am concerned that…
[notices the painting of herself up on the wall] Rodolfo, what is that?
What?! Nothing! I put it there to cover a hole. [clears throat] Maria, I am concerned that Manny is being led astray by his Grandpapi's criminal misdeeds.
[holds up a book of "Kids Manny's Age"] Kids Manny's Age are susceptible to their grandparent's influence. It's a fact.
We need to discuss the possibility of… Grandpapi moving out of the house.
Manny
[hearing his parents' discussion through the walls] No! He can't leave! Grandpapi isn't a bad influence on me.
How'd you learn to eavesdrop like this?
Manny
Grandpapi taught me.
Manny, I have a surprise for you.
Manny
You mean we didn't come to the Miracle City Mint just to watch the criminals drool?
[Manny and Maria are eating at Burritos Explosivos for lunch]
Manny
Thanks, Mom. Burritos Explosivos is my favorite!
[sees a bull's head on the wall] Oh, mijo, look. Remember when you were younger and that bull used to freak you out?
Manny
Mom, I was a little kid, then. [An explosion blows the bull's head from the wall and it lands in his lap; screaming frightfully]
ET El Tigre/Manny
[after taking down El Oso] Mom, may I be excused from the table to take El Oso to jail?
Aw, man, I almost got rid of the prison lice. And I'm gonna bust out again, anyways.
ET El Tigre/Manny
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
ET El Tigre/Manny & Customers
He is?
Yes. Since I've been back, you fought El Oso 17 times. He doesn't need jail, he needs to change.
ET El Tigre/Manny
Villains can't change, Mom.
Well, maybe they would, if someone taught them about compassion and anger management. Oh, and how to be lice-free.
ET El Tigre/Manny
I really think...
No, Manny. My mind is made up. I'll make Miracle City a better place from the bottom up. This I swear!
Manny
I can't believe it. They turned down every chance to steal, pillage, and punch me in the face. Maybe they really do want to change.
Yeah. Hey, how about I heat some churros. That'll cheer you up.
Manny
No, Frida. I wanna watch my mother change people for the good.
[drops the "One Week Without Evil" cake on the ground when she sees the fighting] What's going on?
ET El Tigre/Manny
Why don't you tell her, Dr. Betrayal?
Uh… We were just, um… We were…
We were about to pull off the heist of the century, man. The Miracle City Mint.
But, you said you wanted to change.
We lied. Dr. Chipotle Sr. advises you to DEAL with it.
[incredibly infuriated] DEAL WITH IT?! YOU SORRY, STINKING HALF-TIN MAN! YOU AIN'T GONNA ROB THE MINT ON MY WATCH!
