[Final lines in the Diamond & Pearl series. Ash and Brock have arrived back in the Kanto region and they are now looking at a signpost]

[clasping arms together] Yes!
[Then, they split up and go separate ways. Later, Ash and Pikachu have reached a hill that overlooks Pallet Town]
There's Pallet Town. Let's go, Pikachu.
[Ash and Pikachu start running down the hill towards Pallet Town. Meanwhile, the camera pans up from where they left off and shows Pallet Town in the horizon. Then, a text reading NEXT TIME, A NEW BEGINNING! appears]
[The episode opens with a scene featuring Zekrom, the Deep Black Pokémon, on the top half of the screen, and Reshiram, the Vast White Pokémon, on the bottom half. The scene mixes into the world of Pokémon from space]
The Pokémon world. [The camera zooms in on the planet] A world teeming with the most amazing creatures imaginable... [The camera pans across the sea, some countryside and a town nearby] ...Populating the land, the sea and the air. [The screen fades to white] Wherever you may find yourself, chances are Pokémon will be there, too. [Fade to Ash's house in Pallet Town] And that includes the Kanto region's Pallet Town... [The camera cuts to Ash putting a blue and white zipping hoodie on in his bedroom] ...home to this young man... [Pikachu jumps onto Ash's shoulder] ...ten-year-old Ash Ketchum, a Pokémon trainer dreaming of one day becoming a Pokémon Master.
[Ash picks up his backpack, leaves the room and then comes back in]
Oops. Yeah! [Picks up his hat and puts it on] Mm. Pikachu, psyched?
Me too. Taking a trip with mom. Can't remember the last time we did that, you know?
Ash, Professor Oak is here to pick us up.
Huh? [His mom sorts his hat out]
[A girl named Iris and her Axew pop out from the top of a tree and see the dark storm cloud]
Check it out! Something great's going on. Axew, let's go!
Axew! [Jumps into Iris' hair]
[Then, Iris jumps down from the top of the tree, grabs onto a vine and swings her way through the woods]
[Ash throws a Poké Ball at Iris' head]
Ouch! [pops out of the bush she was hiding in]
[Iris emerges from the bushes]
See, I was only trying to catch a Pokémon.
Oh. So what you're really telling me is that I look like a Pokémon. Your Pokédex. Is this cute face in there? TELL ME, IS IT?!!
[Oshawott comes out of his Pokeball by himself]
Huh? Oshawott's out of his Pokeball.
Why did you come out on your own like that?
Oshawott. [I wanna battle!]
Pika, pika. [Please, I got this.]
Osha! Oshawott! [No! I got this.]

[Dewott comes out]

Okay, now that that's settled, Oshawott, return!
[While waiting for Ash's Pokemon to recover at the Pokemon Center, Cilan wants to talk to Ash about tactics...]
Our battle today was a fruitful one. What struck me were the amazing pairing possibilities between trainer and Pokemon.
There are things I'd like to ask you for future reference as a Pokemon Connoisseur, of course.
[whips out his notebook and asks Ash at rapid pace and gets a little too close for comfort...] So how you do bring out a Pokemon's hidden zest in nature like you do? Also, won't you fill me in on that secret recipe of yours that allows you to turn type disadvantage into a win? Please, Ash, I'm dying to know!
Uhhh...guess I never really thought about it. [Just then, the Pokemon Center chime rings in...whew]
Pidove wasn't affected at all.
You're right. Attract didn't do a thing.
Then of course that has to mean that Ash's Pidove is a girl.
You're right, Cilan! Snivy's Attract wouldn't work on a girl.
I'll bet you Ash knew that all along. That's why Pidove battled in the first place.
Huh...that's pretty good. He's better than I figured.
What do you know, so Pidove’s a girl...some lucky break. [Pikachu facefaults while Cilan and Iris are baffled at Ash's reaction]
Oh, yay! I get to eat more Cilan cuisine!
[Emolga flies down to the group]
Emol-Emol-Emol! [I found my Trainer!]
[Emolga flies into Iris' arms]
Emol-Emol-Emol-Emol-Emol! [I would like Iris to be my Trainer!]
Oh Sorry Emolga I Thought It Would Be Fine If You Where My Pokémon I Am Really Sorry Emolga
Emol Emol Emol Emol Emol Emol Emol! [No Way I Want To Be Your Pokémon, I Want Iris And That's It!]

[Ash is pitting his Snivy against Bianca's Pignite]
Now, Pignite, Flamethrower!

Pignite! [Here comes Flamethrower!] [Uses Flamethrower]
Okay, Snivy, use Leaf Blade!
Sniiiivyyy! [Leaf Blade!] [Uses her tail against Pignite's Flamethrower attack. She then lands on the ground] Snivy. [What else do you have?]
BSBianca's Pignite
[starts stomping on the ground] Pig, pig pig pig pig pig pig pig pig pig pig pig... [Kicks up dust] ...pig pig pig pig... [Uses Flame Charge] ...PigNIIIIIIITE! [Flame Charge!]
[Pignite starts stomping on the ground and kicks up dust before using Flame Charge]
All right, Snivy, Leaf Storm.
[Snivy starts gathering leaves for her Leaf Storm attack]
Snivy vy vy vy vy vy vy vy vy vy vy! Snivy! [Here comes Leaf Storm! Counter this!] [Uses Leaf Storm on Pignite]
BSBianca's Pignite
Pignite! [Ouch!] [Bounces back] Pig! [Not bad.]
[While the battle rages on, Iris is looking for her Emolga]
Oh, wow, looks like they're having a heated battle all right. Emolga, where could you have gone? [Hears a sleepy sigh] Huh? [Looks up the tree and finds Emolga sitting on a branch] Emolga, come down here this instant.
[waking up] Emol. [Not interested] [Goes back to sleep again]
Man, Ash and Snivy are battling instead of us because you used Volt Switch and now we're not getting any practice.
[Meanwhile, Ash and Bianca have stopped battling to see what is the matter]
Vy? Snivy. [Really? Come down here.] [Uses one of her vines to capture Emolga and brings her over to the group]
Hm. Instead of a Volt Switch, we've witnessed a Vine Whip Switch. It's a new recipe.
[Iris rejoins Ash and the others]
Emolga, you're going to battle this time. Get it?
E. [But...] [Starts acting cute] Emol. [I'm too cute to fight.]
And acting cute won't work.
[Sighs] Emol. [Fine.] [Starts charging up electricity]
Vy. [Stand back.] [Jumps up in the air]
[But then, Emolga uses Discharge on everyone around her, except Snivy who has jumped well out of the way. The group falls down]
Snivy. [You have to got to be kidding me.]
[Ash and Bianca sit up with messy hairstyles]
Wow! I'm all over this hairstyle.
[Cilan gets up with his lime green hair all messy too]
