S1 E15Unfinished Business

You'll see! My home will be more successful, than Foster's ever was! I'll show you all! You'll see! Now, good day sirs!

[Episode starts at Mac's school; The teacher is passing out American Presidents tests to Mac and her other students]

TTeacher

Now, students, you will have until the end of the period to finish your test on American Presidents, and remember… [points to her eyes; sternly] these eyes see all, so no cheating! [sweetly] Begin. [As Mac starts working on his test, he hears a boy whispering to his pen, which is then revealed to be an imaginary friend, and he whispers in return for the answers to every question; stares at Mac] Eyes forward, Mac. [Mac goes back to his test; takes the pen-shaped like imaginary friend out of the boy's shirt pocket, catching him cheating] Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated, even by an imaginary friend. [throws the imaginary friend pen in the confiscation closet] Now, everyone, back to your tests.

Wait, stop! Stop! [stops Madame Foster from bashing Lil' Lincoln and Moose with a broomstick, thinking they're intruders] They're not intruders. They're just imaginary friends. I brought them here. This is Lil' Lincoln and his au pair, Moose. You see, I was at school, and the teacher took these guys away from the kids who created them, and why? Because one of them was created to cheat and the other one's a big bully. So what? That's not their fault. That's no reason to lock them up in a closet forever, so what could I do? I had to rescue them and bring them here, right?

[pats him on the head] You're a good boy, Mac. You did the right thing. It's a pleasure to meet you both.

LLLil' Lincoln

Madame, the pleasure is all mine.

[As Mac leaves the school building, he doesn't see Wilt as the new flagpole as he passes by]

Hey, Mac!

Wilt?

Good day at school?

[speechless] What are you doing?

Oh, your principal adopted me and gave me this job.

Okay? [resumes walking off]

[enraged at Lil' Lincoln] You didn't adopt out the friends. You sold them for profit! [raises her hands with money]

LLLil' Lincoln

Oh, boy. You just figured that out? That's right, toots, I sold them all. And with the scratch I clear, I thought I'd turn this dump into something nice, say, a casino!

I…I… You're nothing more than a con man, a crook! Mr. Herriman, do something!

You're right. [hops away] I need to check and see if your hard-boiled eggs are done, Mr. President.

[threateningly] You won't get away with this! I am so telling my grandma!

This is all my fault. If I didn't bring them here, none of this would've ever happened. [sadly] I'm really sorry, guys.

Oh, it's okay, you couldn't have known. We've just got to figure a way out of here and stop the tyranny of Abraham Lincoln!

We're never getting out of here! All the friends are gone, the madame is brainwashed, all hope is lost!

No! There is one who can save us!

Grandma, he's a crook! He locked us in the closet!

He sold all the imaginary friends to make money and he's gonna turn Foster's into a casino!

He made me be his maid! [upset] Called me his First Lady.

Wherever do they get these imaginations? [chuckles] Is that the paperwork giving you control of everything, dear?

LLLil' Lincoln

Just a formality, my darling. Just scribble your nom de plume right there, and it's bon voyage.

[Foster's is celebrating their 5-year creator reunion picnic weekend on a beautiful day where all creators come to visit their former imaginary friends]

Wow! I think it's so amazing that Madame Foster hosts this reunion every five years. It means so much for the imaginary friends to see their creators every once in a while.

[unhappily] Hmph. I'll say.

What's wrong with you? You should be happy for all our friends.

You are so selfish.

Me? What are you talking about?

Look around you, Mac. These friends haven't seen their creators in years. YEARS! They are overcome with joy!

You know what I like best about the reunion? It's really cool to see what kind of people thought up all the friends we know.

Hmm. Hadn't noticed.

You know whose creator I really wanna meet? [cut to Wilt standing sadly at a table with cupcakes] Wilt!

[cringing] Oh! Hey, Mac! Hey, Bloo! [clenching his teeth in a strained smile and twitching his good eye]

Is there something wrong?

[hesitantly] Yeah, sure! Never better! Sorry! Want some burgers? [instead offers Mac and Bloo a plate of cupcakes]

[takes a cupcake] Uh, thanks.

Hey, Wilt, where's your creator?

[11:00 P.M. in the night; Bloo wakes up, seeing Wilt packing his things in a bindle and leaves the room]

[groggy] Wilt? [follows him downstairs to the foyer and sees him talking to someone mysterious on the telephone]

[on the telephone] Yeah, that's right. It's me. Bet you'd hoped to never hear from me again, didn't you? It's time we set things straight once and for all! Oh, really? Fine! Fine, then it's on! I'll see you in two days! You can count on it! [slams the phone on the receiver in anger]

Wilt?

[surprised to see Bloo has followed him] Oh! I'm sorry, Bloo. Did I wake you?

Are you going somewhere?

Well, yeah...But don't you worry about it. [slings his bindle over his back]

"Don't worry about-?" [walks down a few more stairs to better see what Wilt is doing] What do you mean? Where are you going?!

I did something terrible, and it's time I set things right. [closes the door behind him and leaves the house]

Something...terrible? [hangs his mouth open in shock]

[Next morning; Eduardo, Mac, Coco, Frankie, Bloo, Mr. Herriman, and Madame Foster are all in the room, investigating on what happened the previous night]

Huh. Now if that ain't the pot leadin' the horse to water.

Well, he couldn't have just left.

[opens up Wilt's locker] Look. His locker's empty.

And his toothbrush is gone.

[checking under the bunk beds where Wilt usually sleeps and finds nothing there] Coco coco co co!

By Jove, he is gone.

See?! I told you!

No note? No letter? No nothing.

Oh, that's not like him at all.

[At the bus station, Wilt finds a pink little bear imaginary friend named Foofy Woogums in the Lost and Found]

FFoofy

Hello?

[kindly] Well, hello there, little friend! I'm sorry, but imaginary friends don't belong in the Lost and Found.

FFoofy

But, I am lost. My little girl left me here when she was gonna go visit her grandma… [sniffles sadly] and she never came back to find me. [starts to sob]

Oh, it's okay. I'm sure she'll be back looking for you soon.

FFoofy

But… [sniffs] I've been waiting… [sniffs again] since Christmas.

Chwistmath?! I mean, Christmas? But that was months ago. [Foofy cries harder; picks her up from the box, consoling her] Shh. No, no, no, don't cry. You'll see her again someday. Maybe you could go find her yourself.

FFoofy

But I'm afraid to go all by myself.

[Wilt and Foofy walk up to a pink house and Wilt rings the doorbell and a blonde mother answers it]

SSSara's Mom

Hello? [looks up at Wilt and he holds out Foofy; gasps in surprise] Oh, my gosh! It's Foofy Woogums! She's come home!

SSSara's Dad

[off-screen] What?! Are you serious?!

SSSara's Mom

Yes, yes! Get Sara, quick! [shakes her fists in excitement]

[Sara's Dad walks up to the front door, holding his daughter]

SSara

[gasps with her eyes watering up with joy] Foofy?!

FFoofy

[doing the same] Sara?

[Wilt and Sara's Dad both set Foofy and Sara down and they run up to each other and hug, spinning around]

SSara

I never thought I'd see you again!

[As Wilt sits on a bench while waiting for his train to arrive at the station…]

MMan

Excuse me, are you reading that? [points to a magazine that's sitting next to him, with Jordan Michaels on the cover]

Sorry, no. Here you go. [gives the magazine to the him] "Good friend." Hmph. I'm sorry, but...if they only knew.

[The Foster's bus pulls up at Sara's house as Mac and Frankie stand at the doorway]

SSSara's Mom

[as the doorbell rings; weeping while dabbing her teary eyes with a tissue] Just a… minute. [answers the door]

Hello, ma'am. We hate to bother you, but… [Sara's Mom starts tearing up again] Oh, my gosh. Are-are you okay?

[poking out from the bus window; shouting] WILT MUST HAVE ROBBED THEM! HE'S GETTING DESPERATE!

SSSara's Mom

I'm fine. It's just… I love getting visitors. [starts weeping]

Oh, well, uh… We're looking for our friend. He's really tall and red with one arm.

SSSara's Mom

Oh, yes. He was here. [Mac and Frankie smile at each other; sniffs] We took him to the train station.
