[The episode opens on a sunny day in a forest]
Travelling through the forest en route to Coumarine City, site of Ash's next Kalos Gym battle, our heroes have met a Pokémon Trainer named Blake.
[Ash, Serena and Bonnie are sitting at a picnic table with Blake, and Clemont is doing the cooking while the Pokémon have their Pokémon food]
Right, so your house is really close to this forest, huh?

Yeah, I've been out on a journey for about a year doing some training, and when I smelled all of your delicious food, I figured it was coming from my house. It'll be good to get back home. [Feels his stomach growling and he and Ash laugh]
[Clemont gives Blake some vegetable soup]
I made a lot, so dig in. Have as much as you like.

Man, that looks delicious.
By the way, I wanted to ask you about your Pokémon.
[The camera pans right to the Pokémon, but it cuts to a male Meowstic who is eating with Pikachu]

[off camera] It's a Meowstic.

Meow, meow. [Turns to Pikachu] Meowstic.
I can't believe how pretty Meowstic's coat is.
It's beautiful. [Scans Meowstic with her Pokédex]

Meowstic, the Constraint Pokémon. When faced with trouble, Meowstic will raise its ears and create enough psychic power to demolish a ten-ton truck. [The screen shows a female Meowstic which is white] Its appearance varies, depending on gender.
Wow, so male and female Meowstic look different.
I totally wanna catch one someday.
[about the soup] How do you like it?

Huh? [Eats his vegetable soup] It's really delicious.
Do you think I could have some more?
Sure thing, you can have as much as you want. Huh? [Sees that Bonnie has not eaten some of her vegetables in her soup] Bonnie, you need to eat those veggies, please.
But I don't like these veggies at all.
But veggies are exceptionally nutritious. You won't grow up to become a first rate trainer if you don't eat them now.
Yeah, but you know there are veggies you don't eat 'cause you don't like THEM.
Wait a minute, you really don't like veggies?
Of course Clemont loves veggies, right?
Uh, that's irrelevant. You finish everything on your plate, Bonnie.

He's only trying to take good care of you.
Yeah, but the closer they are, the more they fight. [The camera cuts to Blake] Isn't that the old saying?
[The camera cuts to Blake's Meowstic]
[Pancham and Chespin are standing in front of Serena and Clemont]
Listen, both of you! Don't you remember you're supposed to be friends? Now make up!
[Pancham kicks Chespin on the arm and Chespin whacks Pancham on the back]
Hey, all you're doing is just being plain mean to each other! Come on!
[Pancham kicks Chespin on the arm again and Chespin whacks Pancham on the back again]
SCSerena & Clemont
STOP!!!
[Pancham and Chespin jump through a bush and crash into the back of a Farfetch'd. The Farfetch'd, joined by a Smoochum, confront Pancham and Chespin]
Farfetch'd... [That really hurt...]
[Pancham and Chespin look up to see Farfetch'd and Smoochum's trainer, a girl named Nini, angrily glaring at them]

[To Chespin and Pancham] What do you think you're doing to my Pokémon, huh?!
[Serena and Clemont come over]

Hey, you! Are these two ill-mannered brats your Pokémon? They used Tackle on my Pokémon for no reason!
Sorry. PANCHAM, APOLOGIZE RIGHT NOW!
OK, ready, Fennekin? Pancham?
[Pancham and Fennekin nod. However, Chespin charges straight into Pancham, sending Pancham flying]
Why is Chespin doing that?
I guess it wants to show Pancham up.
[After Chespin sends Pancham flying, Pancham comes up to Chespin, fists raised]
PPancham
Pancham-Cham?! [You wanna take me on?!]
[Chespin and Pancham start fighting again. Bonnie comes over to stop them]
[Ramos uses his Gogoat's Vine Whip to rescue Ash from Vanillish and Vanilluxe's wrath]
Hold on, whippersnapper, you'll freeze!
Alright, I've got to stop those two!
Young man, attacking head on can be a good thing at times. Other times, you have to take the side roads.

[Ash had just discussed that he is here in Courmarine City for a Gym Battle]
A Gym Battle, eh? I'm sure the Gym Leader would be more than happy to accept your challenge. Well then, see you again. [Ramos rides on his Gogoat, heading back home]
ASAsh, Serena, Nurse Joy, Clemont and Bonnie

[freaks out because he realizes something] That man is a Grass-type Gym Leader!
[stops his Gogoat before turning around] Yes, I'm the Courmarine Gym Leader. I'll be waiting for ya! [continues riding back to his gym]
[seeing Ash tear through the weeds at a rapid pace] No, no. Ash, you mustn't yank the weeds out so carelessly. Look closely. [parts some weeds aways to reveal some new sprouts] See? If you get all caught up with the things that are right in front of ya, you may lose sight of what's important.
Lose sight of what's important...
You see, the first thing you need to do is to calm your mind. If you observe closely with a calm mind, you'll be able to discern the important things, especially during Gym Battles.
[Ash walks through a gate where he is greeted by raining confetti and three men in front of him congratulate him on his win.]

[After "Who's That Pokémon?"]

[The scene changes to Ash and Serena riding a monorail.]
[giggles] I never expected I'd be the one to get a gift.
What'd they give you?! Please show me! Ash, come on!
[Ash opens the tiny box, revealing a rolled-up blue ribbon.]
Wow, that's such a pretty ribbon!
Yeah... but I still have to get a present for all my Pokémon.
[As Serena is talking] Huh?
Pikachu and the others will love anything you choose. All they care about is that the gift comes from you!
Sure! What would make you happy if you got a gift?

Yeah, because they're your Pokémon. And they think just like you do!
