Ugh. If I ever get sent on another mission to Earth again, it'll be too soon. [sits in pilot's chair] What an ordeal. But the Diamonds needed me. That's the burden of being the best.

[freezes Onion, Sadie, Connie, Jamie and Alexandrite trying to escape her spaceship; to Steven] Nice try. But it's hopeless, My Dad. I can't go back to Homeworld without getting what the Diamonds want.
[looks back at his friends frozen in mid-air; pauses and admits to her]I'm... not My Dad.
[stern] What?

[Steven pauses and walks back into Aquamarine's ship]
[breaks down as she watches helplessly] Steven... [the door begins to close behind Steven, Aquamarine and Topaz]
[as the door begins to close behind Steven, Aquamarine and Topaz] No! Don't you dare!
[turns back before the door closes] I love you.
NO! STOP!! [the door closes and Aquamarine's ship warps into space instantly] STEVEN!!
[speaking to himself] I know my mom did something really bad. Whatever Homeworld has in store for me…I'm ready!

[Steven gulps nervously]
[warps in their throne chairs] Fine. Let's just get on with it, shall we?

[nervously] Um, well…I did it on Earth in front of Pink Diamond's palanquin. I was probably like "Stop!" And she was all like, "No!" So we fought -- I think. And she probably did some cool moves. I probably did some cool stuff, too, some jump-kicks and stuff. But I was most likely deeply conflicted about deciding to shatter her. Definitely crying. I probably had to use the Breaking Point to do it.
It was a sword! [covers her eyes, crying and a blue light fills the room, making everyone except Lars tear up] You… shattered her…with a sword! [starts sobbing]
[walks up and comforts Blue; coldly to Steven] That's quite enough testimony from you! We shall take a short recess.
[Back in the Waiting Room…]
What are you saying in there?! "Maybe" this, "probably" that! Oh, what do you mean, probably?!
Look I just... I don't actually know how it happened, okay?

[grabs Steven by the shirt collar and picks him up] Don't tumble my rocks! Both our gems are on the line! Did you do this or not?!
It was me, alright! [Defense Zircon let's go of his shirt and drops him] Rose Quartz did it, and I've got her gem, so I'm the one who's got to pay for this.
You don't know how it happened. [Steven shakes his head] I get it. There's a reason they want you to explain how you did it.

Blue Diamond, for the purpose of this argument, may I present your palanquin?

Now, as the records show, Pink Diamond was shattered just outside a palanquin, much like this. Witnesses said, Pink had stepped out and had only taken a few steps forward when Rose attacked her from the front. The question no one seems to be asking is… How?

[sees Lars unconiscious on the ground] Lars! [runs over] Lars! [turns him over and tries to wake him up] Lars?
[The Off - Colors walk over, cheering on Lars' victory in unison.]

[Steven tries listening for Lars' heartbeat on his chest and hears nothing, then gasps and breaks down crying, believing the explosion killed him; picks Lars up and holds him close; Tears start streaming down on his cheeks onto Lars' face, and then, Lars' body starts glowing; As everyone watches in surprised shock, Lars' body turns pink, and he slowly regains consicousness]
Ugh... Whoa. What happened?
Oh, my gosh! Something incredible is going to happen to Lars!
[hugs Lars after he brought him back to life with his magical healing tears; tearing up] Lars! You saved us! You stopped the Robonoids, but… but one of them exploded, and you weren't moving, and I started crying… [gasps in realization] I brought you back to life!
But it doesn't feel right to just leave you here.
You said yourself that everyone on this planet is out to get you. You won't be safe until you're back on Earth.
But, Lars--
Don't argue with me! You're always trying to help me. You brought me back to life. Just let me be somebody who deserved it.
CONNIE HATES ME!

I'm not upset about what happened on Homeworld although, yeah, a lot of that was really messed up. But my relationship with Connie is even more messed up! I left her behind to go to Homeworld after promising we'd face everything together. I'm sure I really hurt her. I've been calling and texting her for a week, but she hasn't responded once. [tearing up] Connie might never talk to me again! [runs away, crying]
Steven!
I'll go get him.

This used to make sense to me. I thought life was generated in a kindergarten. Formless, aimless energy channeled into new, useful gems. But life doesn't start in a kindergarten. It ends here. I've gotten used to plants everywhere. Bugs and breeze and sunshine...all of that has been sucked out of this place.
