Damon Salvatore quotes from The Vampire Diaries

Damon

From the moment Stefan had his first taste of human blood, he was a different person. I suppose I should thank him - it's been a hell of a ride.

Damon

You can turn it off. Like a button you can press. I mean, Stefan's different, he-- he wants the whole "human" experience. He wants to feel every episode of "How I Met Your Mother", so he shuts his feelings out. The problem is, as a vampire, your instinct is not to feel.

Damon

I like being a living...dead person

Damon

I get it. I'm the better, hotter, superior choice and you're scared, now that Katherine is out of the picture, that I'm gonna turn all my attention to Elena. But don’t worry. Elena is not Katherine.

Damon

I saw her killed. I was watching and all I could think about was...I wanted to help her. But I couldn't.

Damon

[Realizing it was Katherine he kissed on Elena's porch] Ohh. Mmm, you gotta be kidding me.

Damon

Ooh, cover up, Fabio. We got a crazy ex on the loose

Damon

(scoffs) Sure we do! She came back to profess her undying, eternal love for you. So I'mma let you deal with her, 'cause I have more important things to do - like explode.

Damon

Your silence is deafening, Stefan.

Damon

Thanks for coming, Ric. Can I get you anything to drink? Coffee? Bourbon? Bourbon in your coffee?

Damon

If this wolf man thing is true, I’ve seen enough movies to know it's not good. It means Mason Lockwood is a real life Lon Chaney and that little Tyler punk very well may be a Lon Chaney Junior; which means Bela Lugosi, meaning me, is totally screwed.

Damon

Wow. Your search for life’s purpose is as obvious as it is tragic.

Damon

(burns Mason with a hot iron) You can hurt. Good to know. I was afraid you were gonna be some beast master with no affinity for pain. (seeing Mason's wound healing) Oh, but you heal quickly. Not good. Guess I’ll just have to keep applying pain.

Damon

So where did you two meet? She seduced you, told you she loved you? You're supernatural so she can't compel you. I'm sure she used her other charms. Katherine's good that way.

Damon

Sorry about your pet wolf. You should have kept him on a tighter leash.
