Rabbit[beside himself with rage] WHERE DOES THE SCHEDULE SAY "BUNNIES CRY"?! WHERE?! SHOW ME WHERE!
[Everyone thinks Piglet transformed into a melted snowman; Tigger steps in the puddle]
RabbitTigger! You're stepping in Piglet!
RabbitNow for a little peace and quiet and gardening. Where did I leave my shovel? Oh yes. It's right outside the [realizes] door?! Aah! The door! I forgot to make a door! I can't get out! I'm trapped! Doomed!
[Everyone but Rabbit has been jailed by Tigger]
RabbitLet's go, Tigger. Oh dear dear dear. It's too bad I wasn't able to stop Pooh bear earlier. None of this would've happened in the first place- [Tigger winks at the audience] No! Wait Tigger! I didn't mean-!
[Rabbit is now in jail]
RabbitFor the last time, you're not going to catch anything in that ridiculous trap because there is no such thing as a grab-me gotcha. [Pooh and Piglet fall in Tigger's trap] Help! Don't let it grab me! I surrender!
RabbitLadies and Gentlemen! Rabbit presents a Rabbit production of "Rabbit's Valentine to Christopher Robin"! Directed by Rabbit. Written by Rabbit. From an original idea by Rabbit. Based on a notion by Rabbit. Starring... the others. [the orchestra signals that he should give them credit] Oh yes. Original music composed by Rabbit too.
RabbitSuch a lot of relatives, and none of them would let me do a thing for myself. "Your breakfast, Rabbit. Your bath is ready, Rabbit. Your bed is ready." It's a wonder I didn't lose my mind! Why, I'll probably need a vacation to recover from this vacation.
[Pooh is having a nightmare]
You, Pooh Bear, have accused of popping a balloon!
[crying] He broke my balloon. How can I ever speak to him again?
Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
Silence! Pooh Bear, how do you plead? [Pooh stammering] Guilty!
Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
Christopher Robin! [wakes up]
[Pooh's loud scream wakes his friends up, who are horrified]
Rabbit[horrified] Oh, my! It's Pooh Bear!
[horrified] Oh, he's going to tell Christopher Robin about the b-b-b-balloon!
Me? Can I bounce? [does so]
Not bad. For a beginner. But how about this? [smashes his head into the ceiling] This is embarrassing.
RabbitHmph. Grandstanding if you ask me. Uh, how are you at horticulture?
Horsey what?
RabbitHa. Just as I suspected. You know nothing about gardening.
[laughs] I didn't just fall off the carrot truck! You want gardening? I'll show you gardening. [does so deftly]
Rabbit[hanging upside down using suction cup shoes] I feel like a... like a graceful bird.
Duck!
RabbitNo, not a duck. Like a... a swan.
No! Duck!
Rabbit[ducks from the boomerang] I hope these strings are double knotted.
Well of course they are... What's a knot?
Rabbit[falls] Tigger!
RabbitI-I don't think I want that honey after all, Tigger.
Oh come on, bunny boy. Can't you hear that old bookend calling? [throwing his voice] Rabbit!
RabbitAlright, alright. What do I have to do?
RabbitAnd then, on top of that, he fed my garden to the crows.
He destroyed my home.
Yeah, mine too.
RabbitWe've got to stop this Masked Offender! Er, what do you think, Pooh?
RabbitF-fly s-south? Never! You! You keep your big feathers out of this! Why, if-if she was about to fly south, she'd have wings. Ha. So there...
But Rabbie... I do have wings.
RabbitKessie, flying will lead to no good. Remember the promise you made me? About not going to high?
Well yes but...
RabbitGood. Then no more talk about flying. We have lots more fun than flying.
[giggles] I flew Rabbie!
RabbitYou what?
Oh yes! Aren't you proud of me?
Yay!
Oh, now I can fly south!
Hey, that's right you soloed! Oh boy, kiddo! There's nothing holding you down now.
RabbitDon't you think I know?
[Rabbit sadly walks away and a deflated Kessie hugs Pooh. Cut to Rabbit's house later in the evening]
Rabbie? Um, Rabbie? Could you read me one last bedtime story?
RabbitYou mean... before you... leave?
Oh no, I didn't mean that, I meant...
RabbitYou don't need me to read you a bedtime story. You don't need me... for anything.
[Rabbit exits and shuts the door. Kessie sits in a rocking chair by the fire and starts crying]
RabbitKessie. Oh, Kessie! [hugs her as she is giggling]
Did you think I would leave before saying goodbye to you?
[We later see Pooh and Piglet sitting by the enchanted place on top of the forest looking at the sunset.]
I hope spring decides to come early this year. [giggles] I can't wait to see Kessie again.
It's the most peculiar thing. For the longest time, I thought Rabbit didn't like her.
You know, Piglet, sometimes people care too much. I think it's called love.
Oh, do you think we should tell, Rabbit?
Don't worry. I believe he already knows.
[Pooh and Piglet look down at Rabbit and smile warmly as he continues to stare up at the wintry, night sky, waiting for Kessie's return in the spring]
