F-fly s-south? Never! You! You keep your big feathers out of this! Why, if-if she was about to fly south, she'd have wings. Ha. So there...
But Rabbie... I do have wings.
Kessie, flying will lead to no good. Remember the promise you made me? About not going to high?
Good. Then no more talk about flying. We have lots more fun than flying.
Oh yes! Aren't you proud of me?
Hey, that's right you soloed! Oh boy, kiddo! There's nothing holding you down now.
[Rabbit sadly walks away and a deflated Kessie hugs Pooh. Cut to Rabbit's house later in the evening]
Rabbie? Um, Rabbie? Could you read me one last bedtime story?
You mean... before you... leave?
Oh no, I didn't mean that, I meant...
You don't need me to read you a bedtime story. You don't need me... for anything.
[Rabbit exits and shuts the door. Kessie sits in a rocking chair by the fire and starts crying]
Kessie. Oh, Kessie! [hugs her as she is giggling]
Did you think I would leave before saying goodbye to you?
[We later see Pooh and Piglet sitting by the enchanted place on top of the forest looking at the sunset.]
PBPooh Bear
I hope spring decides to come early this year. [giggles] I can't wait to see Kessie again.
It's the most peculiar thing. For the longest time, I thought Rabbit didn't like her.
PBPooh Bear
You know, Piglet, sometimes people care too much. I think it's called love.
Oh, do you think we should tell, Rabbit?
PBPooh Bear
Don't worry. I believe he already knows.
[Pooh and Piglet look down at Rabbit and smile warmly as he continues to stare up at the wintry, night sky, waiting for Kessie's return in the spring]
