Joey Wheeler quotes from Yu-Gi-Oh!

Joey

Sounded like Mai. Come on!

Joey

And now, for your worst nightmare! The moment I've been waitin' for! I summon...RED-EYES BLACK DRAGON!

Joey

[thinking] I gotta keep my cool, Kaiba's just playing mind games. I have to ignore him, and for us on taking down Marik. It'll be tough, but I didn't get where I am by taking it easy. I crushed some of the strongest duelists around to get to the Battle City finals. Besides, this is about more than just winning a duel, it's about keeping a promise to a friend!

Joey

That doesn't sound like to Yugi I know. Come on pal... Snap out of it!

Joey

Hey, hold on! I know an insult when I hear one! LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M YELLIN' AT YA!

Joey

Great. We have the power to fly but we can't get a decent meal.

Joey

Hey, Seto Kaiba, maybe we should duel sometime.

No thanks, I think I'll have much more of a challenge playing solitaire.

[on tv] Hey there, big brother, I really miss you.

Joey

Serenity?

Tristan Taylor

Hey, Yugi, check this out: according to this card, the tournament winner takes the grand prize of three million dollars!

Joey Wheeler

Three mil?

So what, Tristan? Who cares about money at a time like this?

Joey Wheeler

Hey, give me that! [Snatches the card from Tristan] Aah, three million...

Guess Joey does...

Joey Wheeler

I want to apologize, Yugi. I've been acting like a real jerk.

Oh, were you acting?

Joey Wheeler

I'm sorry, Yugi.

Huh?

Joey Wheeler

I failed I only found two of your cards.

It's okay Joey.

Joey Wheeler

It's not okay. It's always this way with me. I'm never able to help anbody, not even my own sister Serenity.

Serenity?

Really, you have a sister, Joey?

Joey Wheeler

Our parents divorced years ago when we were kids. She lives far away with my mother. My sister's had really bad eyes since she was born. Eventually, she'll go blind.

I'm sorry.

Joey Wheeler

Thanks, Yug. She sent me a message. The doctors told her that the time has come. Soon, her eyes will be impossible to repair, even with surgery. But there are specialists who could perform an operation now before it's too late. They could save her eyesight, But there's no way I can pay for the operation. I have to in for her. Winning in the Duelist Kingdom and getting prize money is the only way I can help Serenity.

You can beat him, Yugi!

Joey Wheeler

Don't let that flea scare ya! He's bluffing!

Really? Then let's just see how you handle this bluff!

Uh-Uh-But I'm the regional champion, The regional champion!

You call yourself a champion, Weevil, but you only won your duels through lying and cheating. True champions- They play with honor. They play fair.

Joey Wheeler

Aw, Don't waste your breath on this sneaky slug. He's a dueling disgrace. And I hereby relieve him of his dueling gauntlet.

Mai Valentine

I overheard you and Yugi talking on the boat, and I know he gave you the only Star Chip that you have. My motto is, "Take out the weakest players first", and considering that you wouldn't even be here if Yugi hadn't given you one of his chips, you've got to be the weakest duelist on the island.

Joey Wheeler

Hey, do you have to be so insulting?

This time, she was being truthful.

Joey

I wish I have more star chips.

Don't worry, Joey you're doing fine, you'll be able to help your sister Serenity out soon.

Joey

I sure hope so, Yugi. [flashback to his sister Serenity] She really counting on me. [flashback ends] And won't let her down.
