Yugi quotes from Yu-Gi-Oh!

[thinking] What is happening to me? One minute I'm battling against Kaiba, the next minute I'm battling with myself. Suddenly there was this other presence inside of me, willing to do anything to win the duel. And it took everything I had just to hold him back. But that gave Kaiba the opening he needed. I let Kaiba win the match, but I had no choice. That other presence may have seriously hurt Kaiba if I hadn't regained control. And now I'm afraid of what happens next time. What happens if I can't control it? No! I can't take that chance. And that means:I can never duel again.

[crying after Pegasus steals Kaiba's soul] He was like us. Just wanted to save someone he cared for. Why, Pegasus? Who are you to toy with our friends, our families? I won't let you get away with it!

[thinking] I got be at my best if I'm gonna make it through these playoffs. But I also have to keep the spirit of my Millennium Puzzle in check. I mean if Pegasus can seal souls with his Millennium item, who knows what the spirit of the Puzzle might do to win against Mai?

[thinking] I hope I'm doing the right thing deciding to duel again. Grandpa told me to trust the ancient presence from inside the Millennium Puzzle. But how can I? It was willing to do anything to beat Kaiba. Anything.

Pegasus, you're finished! We've won!

I've got to solve the Millennium Puzzle and fast! Time is running out! And this fire is getting worse! Focus! If I solve the Puzzle, I save the spirit! Even if I don't make it out, at least he will!

[thinking] It can't end like this! I have to defeat Kaiba to get to Marik! It's the only way to stop his evil plan! 'Cause if the three Egyptian God cards and my Millennium Puzzle fall into Marik's hands, the world could meet the same fate it did in the past!

Ready, Copernicus.

Hey, where am I? The Seal of Oricahlcos! No! He played it! What have you done, Pharaoh?

Pharaoh, NO! The Seal of Orichalcos is in play! So the monsters on the field are real! Please don't sacrifice the Dark Magician Girl!

Maximillion Pegasus

Yes, we will duel again, Yugi. How else will you ever reclaim your grandfather's soul? [cackles]

Grandpa! Grandpa! GRANDPA!

We'll both do our best, Joey. You, for your sister. And me, for my grandpa.

That's right. We'll do this together.

Tristan

Look, the island!

That's the Duelist Kingdom. That's it. We're almost there.

Joey

I wish I have more star chips.

Don't worry, Joey you're doing fine, you'll be able to help your sister Serenity out soon.

Joey

I sure hope so, Yugi. [flashback to his sister Serenity] She really counting on me. [flashback ends] And won't let her down.

Bakura

Before we get started there's a little something I'd like to share with you all... and especially with you Yugi.

Joey

What's that?

Joey

[spooked] This is getting freaky.

[stunned] It can't be. A millenium item.

Yami Bakura

Yes! And the magic of my Millenium Ring will take us to the Shadow Realm!

Joey

Man, I hate magic.

Why are you doing this, Bakura?

Yami Bakura

You have something I want Yugi and I aim to take it.

Yami Bakura

Their souls have been locked away. And now after waiting for countless centuries, the legendary Millenium Puzzle is mine!

Yami Bakura

No! It can't be!

You want my Millenium Puzzle? Then, you're going to have to duel me for it.

Yami Bakura

There is more at stake here then you comprehend and this is one shadow game you cannot win!

Yami Bakura

[coldly] You waste your time and your turns rescuing these foolish mortals.

My friends are never a waste of time. Make your move.

Yami Bakura

[chuckles] Oh, I'll move and you will lose. This is the play that will end the match and win me your Millenium Puzzle. First, I will play "The Lady of Faith" in attack mode and then the card that will turn your friends against one another... "The Change of Heart".

"The Change of Heart"? Isn't that Bakura's favourite card?

Yami Bakura

And a very magical card it is. With this card I can turn you against your comrades. The very friends you sought to protect you will now destroy.

No, I refuse!

Yami Bakura

You won't have a choice in the matter. "The Change of Heart" card allows me to control any opposing monster and I choose you, little Yugi.

Leave the young one out of this!

Yami Bakura

Why should I? By simply destroying him might defeat you as well. You're here to die and PROTECT HIM! THEN PROTECT HIM AGAINST THIS!

Uhh!

Tristan

YUGI!

Joey

YUGI!

YUGI!

Uhh! Huh?

Joey

It's Bakura!

The real Bakura!

Bakura! So your soul was sealed into your favorite card, too!

Bakura

[sighs] I want to help, but we must act quickly, Yugi.

Bakura

I've taken over one of his cards instead of yours.

Huh?

Yami Bakura

Uhh!

Bakura

I'll control her while you attack me. You can win against the evil Bakura.

I can't! I'd be destroying you, sending you to the graveyard.

Bakura

I don't care it's better than being enslaved by an evil spirit. Do it!

Yami Bakura

BE QUIET!

I have a better idea. If the evil power of Bakura's Millennium Ring can pull souls from people, perhaps the power of my Millennium Puzzle can put them back.

Joey

All right! Our Bakura's back where he belongs.

Tristan

But where's the evil dude?

Yami Bakura

Uhh! This can't be!

Listen closely, Yugi. Use the power of the Dark Magician sent him to the graveyard now!

You got it, Dark magic attack!

Yami Bakura

Uhh! The Millenium Puzzle was almost mine!

Yami Bakura

[screams in horror]
