If I had a dollar for every time some evil vampire surprised me.

S1 E15Unfinished Business
Elena (to Damon): I don't question why you, and Stefan, and everyone else tries so hard to save me. You shouldn't question why I would try so hard to save all of you.
(pins Elena against the wall) Don't you dare.
Stefan's in there, Damon. How could you let this happen?!
What are you talking about? I was too busy saving you from your crazy Kamikaze mission!
You didn't even have to go after the moonstone in the first place.
It was the right call, Elena!
"Right call"?! How is any of this the right call?! (shoves against him) Damon, let go of me! (struggles harder) Damon - LET GO OF ME! Let go of me! (hits him) Let go of me. Please...
(waits patiently) You done?
Of all the idiot plans, Stefan... I'll find a way to get you out.
Ah, it's alright, I'll...I'll handle myself. Bonnie has the moonstone. Work with her; try to figure out how to de-spell it.
You martyr yourself into a tomb and I get partnered with a semi-competent witch. Wonderful!
Keep Elena away from here.
(scoffs) Yeah, 'cause that'll be easy.
Promise me, no matter what happens, you'll protect her.
Promise.
That, right there, was the biggest mistake you've ever made.
We're not gonna let you get used in some creepy sacrifice ritual.
You trapped her in the house?
It's for the best, trust me. Elena's on a martyr tear that rivals your greatest hits.
You should really lock your door. (Elena sulks) Oh come on, pouty. At least give me two points for ingenuity.
Do you think this is funny?
Yes, Elena. I find hilarity in the lengths that I have to go to to repeatedly save your life.
What does Stefan say about this?
We had a good laugh.
Well, "A", he can't do anything about it, and "B"...what I just said.
Hold on a second - tonight's the full moon?
Yep. But you're too absorbed with all your suicidal tendencies to notice.
Damon(to Elena): Hey, you know, you should get out - enjoy the sun. (whispers) Oh, wait - you can't.
Where is Mason, anyway?
Decomposing in his truck.
Stefan (to Katherine): The pleasure I'll get of watching you suffer is greater than any pain I'll ever feel.
You're trying to use me. To draw him out.
Well, to do that, I need you to stay put and stop trying to get yourself killed.
