Foxes hunt but we're also hunted.
Has it happened to you?
No. But I have often heard the horn blow. I suppose it will be my turn one day.
The Owl Reminded of Someone.
Owl, Have you Seen Foxes Friends?
BOBig Owl
Not many Foxes in the Wood these Days.
No not Foxes, a Party of all kinds travelling together. A Toad, a Kestrel, a Mole, Rabbits, Mice, an Owl.
You will come back won't you? I couldn't bear to lose you! Not now!
You may not have to.
Do you have a mate?
TThrush
Yes. And a family too.
Do you miss your freedom?
TThrush
Haven't the time. Much too busy.
I see. I used to like walking alone in the morning dew.
TThrush
And now?
And now I don't know what to do.
TThrush
Is he brave and true?
Probably!
TThrush
If you don't try, you'll never know.
[The hunt has picked up Vixen's scent]
BBButcher Bird
[jeering] RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
Badger... we should run!
No. Remember the oath. We must all stand together and fight!
But we'll be torn to pieces!
What's happening? I can't see!
It's probably better that you don't Moley.
[about the hounds] We could try heading them off.
In certain circumstances attack is the only form of defense.
Get on with it then!
[realizing the hounds are now going after Vixen] I've failed her!
[Adder receives praise from the other animals for saving Vixen]
I'll never live thisss down.
I know what you did... heading them off.
I couldn't bear to think of you... and those hounds.
You risked your life for me.
Were you... were you on your way back to me?
Yes.
Does that mean...
I would be honored to be your mate.
Oh... I'm so happy!
Welcome my dear. You're one of us now.
