Lydia, tell him to remember.
Lydia
What?
Tell him to remember the moment Parrish died.
Lydia
[to Parrish] When did he die?
[Suddenly, he's overwhelmed with flashbacks cutting between Parrish being blown up by a bomb in Afghanistan and Scott, Allison and Stiles going into the ice baths for the surrogate sacrifice ritual in Season 3's "Alpha Pact"]
[about Marie-Jeanne] Maybe someone should resurrect her.
Lydia
Don't leave--
Parrish; My dreams aren't like yours, Lydia. I'm not just a Harbinger of Death-- I'm the cause of it.
[Parrish leaves, and Lydia attempts to chase after him, only to be stopped by Gerard and Argent]
Lydia
Why?
Because as much as we believe Parrish could take on the Beast... Neither of us think he's our only hope at stopping it.
Lydia
What do you mean?
We think there's another. You.
You should hear the rest of the story.
Lydia
[rolls her eyes] Why should I be listening to you?
He knows it better than any of us.
Lydia
[sighs] Everything I've read says that the Beast was killed by Jean Chastel.
[scoffs] Who told you that? The Internet? If that's your most reliable source of information, then you might as well go.
Lydia
But Marie-Jeanne didn't do it alone. She was never alone. She had help from Henri, the Magistrate, the town... even Marcel. We need Parrish. I'm going to go find him.
Lydia, he's dangerous. He's still a shapeshifter. And one who's just beginning to understand his power.
Lydia
And I'm not?
You're not the same. You access the supernatural. It works through you.
But it doesn't control you.
Lydia
[scoffs] How would you know? Why do you care? Why are you suddenly on our side?
Because it's my name as well. Marie-Jeanne never left Henri after the death of her brother. And their relationship became more than a partnership. They married, and she took his name.
Lydia
Argent...
Our name will be remembered as well, Lydia-- for killing the Beast.
Lydia
But I'm not an Argent. And I'm not Allison.
You guys don't get it. The bodies I see in my dreams are because of me. And there's gonna be more-- a lot more.
Lydia
I've been predicting death longer than you. The things I've seen and felt... They don't always happen.
What if those people die because you didn't stay?
Lydia
Because you weren't there to protect them? You said you were drawn to Beacon Hills. I think you're here for a reason.
Still nothing from Scott and Liam.
Lydia
Are we really sure this is a good idea?
Uh, no. No one thinks this is a good idea.
But you're trusting Theo anyway?
We're not trusting him, we're using him.
Lydia
What if he's using us?
...That's probably a given.
Lydia
You okay?
Yeah, I'm still thinking... Still trying to figure out, why Mason? I mean, he wasn't even on the genetic chimera list...
[Melissa arrives with a medical file in her hands, which she immediately opens and lays on the desk]
He is now. Mason was born with twin embolization syndrome.
Lydia
[shocked] You mean fetal resorption?
Lydia
He had a vanishing twin in utero?
[nods] Which accounts for two sets of DNA.
Can someone please say it with words that have less than three syllables?
[shortly] He ate his twin.
Lydia
[about Kira] But she'll be back. She still has to graduate.
That's the thing, though. I don't know... When we started this school year, I was so stressed about everyone ending up in the same place after we graduate. But I don't think it matters. We always seem to find each other anyway. Even Allison.
[Lydia stops walking and looks at him in confusion]
He didn't tell you? It was in the tunnels, when Sebastien had his hands around Scott's throat. The guy probably didn't even know what he was doing. His claws got into Scott's neck. He was going to kill him... But then he stopped and said a name-- Marie-Jeanne.
Lydia
[gasps] He saw Scott's memories.
Lydia
They must have looked like each other. I mean, maybe exactly like each other.
It gave Scott a chance to break free. She saved him. Allison saved his life.
Okay, what-what does your Banshee intuition say this is?
Lydia
[sighs] That you don't have to figure it out right this second?
But this kid-- this kid's got no one, you know? And... There's a reason. There's gotta be.
[Suddenly, Lydia begins to get another Banshee premonition similar to those she experienced several times earlier in the day; she can hear the sound of thunder rumbling and rain falling heavily, along with an unknown feminine voice singing through the sounds of the storm]
FVFeminine Voice
...Killer on the road...
[Lydia listens to the premonition for a long moment before muttering to herself under her breath]
Lydia
"Give this man a ride, sweet family will die... Killer on the road..."
[Stiles frowns in confusion]
[Lydia suddenly snaps out of her trance]
Lydia
What?
That's the song-- Riders on the Storm.
[Lydia's eyes widen as she gets a dawning realization]
Lydia
That's it!
Lydia
The Ghost Riders. The Wild Hunt! They come by storm, riding horses, and they take people.
[Stiles looks at her in awe]
Lydia, you're so smart, I could kiss you right now.
Lydia
[sternly] Do not kiss me.
[Stiles quickly leans in and kisses her on the cheek before running away and shouting behind him]
[Lydia smiles despite herself]
[Stiles and Lydia, both of whom have been running around looking for each other, finally find one another outside of the school near the parking lot]
Lydia
[frantically] Stiles!
Lydia? You know me. Oh, thank God. You know me!
Lydia
[nods quickly] I know you! But I think everybody else is forgetting...
[Lydia and Stiles are in the Jeep, and when she sees that he has decided not to turn on the car, she looks at him in alarm]
Lydia
What are you doing? We need to go!
[grimly] There's no time. Lydia, I'm going to be erased, okay? Just like Alex. You're gonna forget me.
Lydia
[frantically shakes her head] I won't! No, I won't! I won't!
[sadly] Lydia, you will. Just try to find some way to remember me, okay? Remember how you were the first girl I ever danced with? Or how I had a crush on you freshman year... sophomore year... junior year. Remember how you saved my life?
Lydia
You saved my life, too.
Just remember... Remember I love you.
[The Ghost Riders yank Stiles out of the Jeep before they all disappear, and Lydia gasps in horror. After a moment, she struggles to hang on to her memories of Stiles]
Lydia
Remember... Remember... Remember...
