Choza quotes from Naruto: Shippūden

Only using substitution and shadow clones until he determines the nature and abilities of his enemy. He hasn't changed a bit since the last time we teamed up. Skilled as always.

You're all grown up, Choza.

That's right, and guess what? I'm about to grow even bigger.

Shikamaru

Snap out of it, Choji! Stay focused! We aren't some little brats who need to be protected anymore! We're the protectors now! Do you want Asuma to murder his own child? Your idea of kindness is wrong!

Ino

Yeah Shikamaru is right, Choji. Just remember the piercings and what they stand for.

Quit whining and pouting, Choji! Remember, you're the 16th head of the Akimichi clan.

Choji

[flashback] Let's see... the symbol on the far right belongs to us, the Akimichi clan right? And the other two are...

The middle one's the Nara clan's, and the leftmost one is the Yamanaka clan's, three clans that use highly unusual secret ninjutsu. We've been combining our powers for many generations now and the three clans share a special relationship. To strengthen our union and protect our clans, the Sarutobi clan bestows ear piercings upon the three of us, and every generation the members of our clan swear an oath of loyalty on those earrings, so they're not just mere decorations son.

'Eventually you'll raise your own child and pass these earrings onto them. What is it?

Choji

Do you really think I could get married one day?

Hey what kind of talk is that? You don't? So you understand why master Asuma continues to be hard on you? Listen, I was able to get married wasn't I? Be more confident!

Choji

I thought it was just an oath, part of a ritual. Now I hereby swear as the 16th leader of the clan, I will pass on this oath entrusted to me by the 15th, and I shall carry it onto the 17th leader, my child to be. [flashback ends] Thank you Ino, and I'm sorry, but I'm okay now. You can go back. In order to protect the Yamanaka and Nara clans and the Hidden Leaf Village, I, Choji Akimichi swear to transform from a lowly caterpillar to a powerful butterfly and take flight!

Choji!

Choji

It's time to change.

He grew wings without even using the pills!
