Itachi quotes from Naruto: Shippūden

Itachi

The Hidden Mist Jutsu. Quite an effective technique to prevent one from casting a Genjutsu. Unless of course one possesses the Sharingan.

Itachi

I'm always going to be there for you, even if it's only as an obstacle for you to overcome, even if you do hate me. That's what big brothers are for.

Itachi

Activating the Mangekyo Sharingan always required an Uchiha to take down a friend. Parents and siblings killed each other to obtain eternal visual prowess. We're both from a tainted bloodline that advanced its strength this way throughout the ages! And from the day you were born into our clan you have been unavoidably entwined with this blood soaked fate! Now come my little brother! I shall kill you to obtain my true transformation and finally be free from our clan's fate!

Itachi

Self-sacrifice. A true shinobi does not set out to seek glory. They protect from the shadows. That is the mark of a true ninja. Shisui was the one who taught me that.

Itachi

You said that you consider Sasuke a brother. That's why I knew that you, Naruto, were the only one who could stop him.

Itachi

[To Naruto] I admit you are stronger than before. You have much more power but as a result you seem to have lost sight of something extremely important. Naruto, you must remember. You know why the people of the Leaf Village stopped hating and fearing you. You know why they've accepted you as one of their own. It's because you showed that you understood them and you fought for their acceptance. You just said everyone who cares about you helped you get where you are. If you forget about everyone else because you now have power, you'll become arrogant and egotistical and eventually you will become just like Madara. However powerful you are, don't take it all on yourself, because if you do you will surely fail.

Itachi

[using Izanami] As I told you, I hold your fate in my hands right now.

Itachi

[to Sasuke] You don't ever have to forgive me. And whatever you do from here on out, know this. No matter what, I will love you always.

Itachi

[To Naruto] You're such a child. You talk of nothing but pipe dreams. There are times when a ninja must make painful choices.

Itachi

Every human being relies on and is bounded by his knowledge and experience to live. This is what we call "reality". However, knowledge and experience are ambiguous, thus reality can become illusion. Is it not possible to think that, all human beings are living in their assumptions?

Itachi

[To Sasuke] I don't think something like perfection exists. That is why I think we are born able to absorb things and by comparing ourselves with something else, we can finally head in a good direction.

Itachi, this Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki, what is he like?

Pain

Go on, tell him.

Itachi

He's the one who bursts in and barks first.

What do you mean?

Deidara

Doesn't he have any identifying characteristics, other than barking hmm?

Deidara

I take commissions to make explosions using my art, hmm.

Your art?

Deidara

[holds up a clay spider] Yeah look. Such refined lines matched with a form that pursues two dimensional depth formulae. This is true art. But my art goes far beyond this as well. My pieces are versatile. While they hold shape, they're merely objects, but they can also explode. And when it does explode, it makes its essence more sublime, and it finally comes fully into its own. I feel that true art only lives in that flash of sublimation. True art is an explosion!

Disgusting.

Kisame

Is he finished?

Itachi

Who knows?

Kisame

[to Itachi who is standing in the rain] I have no idea what's going on in your head right now, not one clue. Yet from here it looks like you're crying. It's really too bad what happened to your younger brother. It looks like you're the sole surviving member of the Uchiha clan.

Itachi

No. Sasuke is not dead. Besides...

Kisame

What are you talking about?

Itachi

The rain has finally stopped.

Itachi

I know that you're out here all by yourself. So why aren't you running?

Naruto

Whatever, I can be any number from 1 to 1000. And besides, why would I want to run? If I capture you then I get to see Sasuke!

Itachi

Why are you so obsessed with my brother? He's just a rogue ninja.

Naruto

It's true that we may not be blood but he's more of a brother to me than you ever were to him!
