Oh, yes, it could be 20th century. England in summertime, I should say. See the rain clouds?
S6 E3The Invasion
You... You... you man! (in response to the Brigadier)
I hate computers and refuse to be bullied by them!
S6 E4The Krotons
(when hearing a quick loud ring) Great jumping gobstoppers!
S6 E5The Seeds of Death
[Slaar is talking on a monitor to his superior, the Grand Marshall, who has sequins on his helmet]
Are all the preparations complete?
Yes, Grand Marshall. The seed pods have been dispatched to the cities of the Earth, and the Moonbase is in our hands.
Good. Our fleet is approaching the gravitational field of the moon. Is all prepared?
Everything is ready. I shall guide our ships in on the homing beam signal.
Fuel supplies are at marginal level. There must be no misjudgements!
[Fewsham quietly switches on the video link]
No information yet available from Weather Control Bureau.
[annoyed] Oh, no. I'd better get over there!
[On the Monitor] T-Mat control? Commander Radnor? Ah.
Doctor!
This is the Doctor.
Doctor, are you all right? What's happening over there?
Yes, well, we've had quite a battle here, but things are all right now. There was a warrior here, but we've dealt with him.
Excellent! Is there much damage?
Well, yes, I'm afraid so. I'm going to see how much now. How are you getting along with the signal in the satellite:?
Professor Eldred and Miss Kelly are coping with it now.
Good. I'll be back as soon as I can.
[The transmission ends]
How's it going?
We're ready to test.
Play back recording of homing beam.
[The computer obeys]
Now, that's the Ice Warriors' homing beam. Let's see if I can produce that exactly.
[But it's too fast and high-pitched. Kelly begins adjusting it with a Screwdriver]
Can't you get any closer than that?
I shall! Don't worry! [the beeping slows down until it's the right speed]
That's it.
I'll lock into that frequency.
Just one thing, Miss Kelly. Now that you've perfected this thing, how do you propose getting it to the launching pad without T-Mat?
It just so happens I found a petrol car in a motor museum.
Really? What make?
I've no idea, but it's got four wheels and it goes. Get this to the vehicle immediately.
[A technician takes the homing beam away]
Will a car be able to get through the foam?
Yes. I've arranged for a route to be cleared by hosing the foam.
Good, good.
But the only way we'll ever get rid of it permanently is by rain. Lots of rain!
You should not have killed him (Fewsham)! Who will operate T-Mat?
I have studied the controls.
What if the apparatus breaks down?
I shall send warriors to Earth to bring back technicians.
Soon all humans on Earth will be extinct!
It will take time for the fungus to remove the oxygen from their atmosphere.
You must use that time to obtain another human, and do not kill him!
No, Grand Marshall.
You will be prepared to activate the homing beam on our signal?
All is prepared, Grand Marshall. [the transmission ends as Slaar goes to speak to one of his soldiers] I shall return to our ship to finalize invasion plans.
This is impossible!
[Checks the communications link] The signal! There is no power!
You did this!
Yes. That signal has been going no further than this control room.
But they were receiving my signal!
Not your signal. Ours.
You sent a signal from Earth?
We sent up a satellite. That signal has sent your fleet into a false orbit!
The heat of the sun will kill them! You have destroyed our entire fleet!
You tried to destroy an entire world.
Earth will still die. The Fungus will take the oxygen from your atmosphere.
No, I'm afraid you've failed there too. We can destroy the Fungus.
[Seething with rage, turns to his only remaining Ice Warrior] Kill him!
[a voice calls out from the T-Mat cubicle]
Doctor!
Jamie, look out! [leaps over the T-Mat control desk and tackles the Ice Warrior]
[The Ice Warrior fires but the Doctor diverts its aim so that Slaar dies instead of Jamie]
[leaps across the room and tackles the Ice Warrior] Creag Au Tuire!
[holding up his solar energy power leads] Jamie, a live terminal!
[Jamie and the Doctor press each lead into the Ice Warrior's body. There's a bright flash and the Warrior collapses]
Oh, well done, Jamie! Oh, goodness me! Jamie, thank you very much. Now then, we must T-Mat ourselves back to Earth.
S6 E7The Anachronauts
[Wakes up after the TARDIS explodes] S-S-Steven.
[Rushing over to her] Sara. It's all right. We're OK!
Hey! What's that? Oh, of course we are. Nothing can enter the ship!
But what happened to the ship? How are we outside?
This... is obviously a beach. I've always liked the sea-side. Something about the sand between ones toes... It's going to ruin these shoes though...
[Slightly annoyed] You're changing the subject, Doctor. The TARDIS...
You may have changed your appearance, but I know who you are.
Oh, do you?
Your machine is a TARDIS. You're too familiar with its controls to be a stranger.
I had every right to leave.
Stealing a TARDIS? Oh, I'm not criticising you. We are two of a kind.
We most certainly are not.
We were both Time Lords. And we both decided to leave our race.
I had reasons of my own.
Just as I had.
If these Time Lords are your friends, why don't you wait for them?
You don't understand, Mister Russell I must go! Please!
[With pistols drawn] You stay here with us, my friend.
Look, I am not going to argue. Jamie, Zoe, Cartsairs, into the machine.
But, Doctor, he's not joking, y'know!
For once, Jamie, do as you are told!
You move and I kill you!
Then you will just have to kill me, Mister Villar.
Well, Mister Doctor, that is just what I will do.
[Russell and Carstairs wrestle Villar]
You can't shoot him in the back. He's helped us too much.
The back, the front, what's the difference?
It's too late now anyway.
[The Doctor, Jamie, Zoe and Carstairs take off in the SIDRAT]
Don't Worry. When the Time Lords get him, he'll wish you had killed him.
Well...it is a fact, Jamie, that I do tend to get involved.
The Time Lords are an immensely civilised race. We can control our own environment - we can live forever, barring accidents and we have the secret of space/time travel.
There is no escape, Doctor. Return the TARDIS to our home planet.
The Doctor Why can't you leave me alone?!
Goodbye, Jamie.
But Doctor, surely we can't just-
Goodbye, Jamie.
I'll never forget you, you know.
I won't forget you! Goodbye, Zoe.
Will we ever meet again?
Again? Now, Zoe, you know that time is relative.
