Yeah, you two seem to have this pretty well in hand. Just a normal Saturday afternoon, a couple of grown men about to kick each other into a pool. You know, as much as I would love to watch you and your childhood karate rival duke it out, I kinda don't wanna get any blood on the patio, so what do you say we try to resolve this over some breakfast instead?

[Amanda goes to Cobra Kai looking for Kreese]

Hello? Is anyone here? [Kreese comes out of the backroom, an exercise towel around his neck]
We're closed, darling. But if you've got a youngster you'd like to put on the list for karate lessons, I'd be happy to help you.
Amanda
Is one of those lessons "how to jump a bunch of kids and break one of their arms"? Because that's what your students did tonight.
...Did they? [beat] Must've had it coming.
Amanda
Like my daughter deserved it when one of your minions attacked her at the high school? [It dawns on Kreese who he's talking to]
[laughs] Ahh....that must make you Mrs. LaRusso! [chuckles] What's the matter? Little Daniel's not manly enough to fight his own battles anymore?
Amanda
Hey Rambo, kids are getting hurt! Just cull your band of karate thugs or I'm going to the police! Got it?
You're a feisty one. But I like that. I like it-[Amanda slaps Kreese hard across the face]
Amanda
I don't give a shit what you like, you sociopath. And I'm shutting you down if it's the last thing I do...[leaves]
[At the Japanese restaurant where Tory is a waitress, Amanda warns her against going anywhere near Sam, but everybody and the manager sees them argue]
MManager
Is everything okay here, ma'am?

I don't know. Is it?

Miss? I don't want my soup to get cold.
[to customer following up on the order; angrily bangs table] Will you shut the hell up??!!?
MManager
Tory! That's it. Put away your uniform. I've had enough of your attitude. You're fired.
[Throws manager her apron] Yeah, thanks a lot. [addresses customers] This place got a B on the health inspection. They hide the sign so you can't see it. And I saw one of the cooks dip his balls in the miso. [storms out as some customers are disgusted]

[to manager] Uh, you know what? You can cancel my soup.
[Daniel is asking Amanda why she's helping Tory]
Amanda
Did I tell you about the time I was arrested?
Amanda
It was a high school prank.
Amanda
And by "prank," I meant I took a baseball bat to my math tutor's car. With her in it.
Amanda
She was having an affair with my dad. My parents' marriage was falling apart, I thought the world was ending, and I blamed her for taking it all away from me.
know you didn't get along with your dad, but I did... I had no idea.
Amanda
I was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment. I didn't walk my graduation. And then my parents divorced anyway.
Why did you never tell me?
Amanda
Just worked hard to put it behind me. And it's not exactly a first date story. Or an any date story. I was young and upset. And I'm lucky it didn't ruin my life. Tory's young and upset. And maybe she's a lost cause, but... We'll never know if we don't try to help. All I want to do is try to break the pattern, Daniel. Kids like Tory get the same messages delivered to them over and over again the same exact way. Sometimes they just need a wake-up call to change course.
[Daniel and Amanda are summoned by the West Valley Middle School principal over another incident between Anthony's crew and Kenny]

But whatever it is, we expect there to be a severe punishment for this.
PPrincipal
Oh, there will be. I've already spoken to the parents of the other offending students. We're going to be suspending them. And your son.
What? None of this is Anthony's fault.
PPrincipal
Well, I'm afraid we have proof. [activates tablet showing security camera footage of the recent chase] Turns out this isn't the first time. [clip of Kenny opening his locker only to have a lot of milk spill out] Don't know how they got that milk in the locker. Anthony and the others have been cyberbullying Mr. Payne for some time. I've seen enough evidence to conclude that Anthony has been a real bully this year. [Daniel looks outside]
[seeing Daniel's sad face; to Anthony as he smiles] I got you!
[Chozen witnesses Daniel and Amanda arrive home from the charity event at Terry Silver's house]
Amanda
I've lost any shot of joining that charity. Much less the board.
That's Silver's fault. He was messing with me the whole time.
Amanda
And you let him. You knew how important this was, and yet you could not for one day put this stupid rivalry aside. I'm afraid we're never gonna have normalcy again. Not when you continue to stir up ridiculous fights.
Fight at furniture store my fault, not his. Please, blame me.
Amanda
You had a fight at a furniture store? Enough is enough. Daniel, this ends now.
This is exactly what Silver wanted to happen. He manipulated this whole thing to get us to fight.
Amanda
Do you hear yourself? The reason we're fighting is because you can't let things go. You promised things would be different.
You don't understand what this man is capable of. He won't stop until he's ruined every aspect of my life. That's why I have to take him down.
Amanda
You really won't stop?
You need to let me and Chozen handle this. It's the only way to make it all end.
Amanda
Fine. Handle it. I won't be here for it.
Amanda
Away from here. Away from you! I just need space. I'm taking the kids with me. [goes to bedroom]
[Daniel and Amanda return to the old Miyagi-do dojo]
What are we doing here? I thought we were heading home.
Amanda
Uh, we just have to make a quick stop. Come on.
[they enter the house, but when they go towards Mr Miyagi's old room]
Amanda, I don't go in there.
Amanda
Hey. It's okay. You're hurting right now. But I want you to heal. And I'm right here. [they enter the long-closed room]
[soaks up the environment, looking at all of Mr Miyagi's things, including his old picture of Yukie and his painting instructions to Daniel] It's like a time capsule in here.
Amanda
The night before we got married, I was so nervous. I came here to see Mr. Miyagi. He sat me down, poured me a cup of tea... and some sake. And we talked about you. He loved you so much, Daniel. He said to me, "Amanda-san, in life, always easier to hide head in sand." He told me you could be a bit of a handful sometimes. That you would always fight for what you believed in. And there was nothing you believed in more than your family and friends. And what I believe in now is standing up to Terry Silver. It's the right thing to do for you, for me, for our family. Sorry it took me so long to realize.
That means the world to me, Amanda. But what if standing up to Silver just makes things worse again? Every time I try to fight for what's right, somebody gets hurt. I can't fail these kids again.
You didn't fail me. [Daniel sees Robby and Sam at the door] Sam and my dad told me what was going on. You know, when you first met me, I was a messed-up kid. But you gave me a job. And a home. And a purpose. You can't just give up.
Robby, the things I did, juvie, I was... I was just trying to help you.
No, I'm... I'm sorry. I should've listened to you about Cobra Kai. But I didn't understand until I started mentoring someone myself. Now Silver's got a hold on this kid. There's some others in there I care about too, and, uh, we need to stop Cobra Kai. But we can't do it without you. Sensei.
Dad, not everyone has someone like you to protect them and teach them. It's time that all of us join this fight.
[they go to the back garden and see the Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang students, plus Amanda, Johnny and Chozen]
You're not alone anymore. So what do you say, Dad? Will you fight?
