[Daniel and Johnny review the footage of their special match but arguments over who won are forgotten when Hawk appears in a hoodie]
[sees somebody in hoodie] Hawk?
Shit, Eli what happened?! [Hawk reveals his mohawk is no more and everybody is stunned]
Kreese and Silver did this. They need to pay.
Jesus, Johnny. Please. Kreese tried to kill you last time. What, you wanna fight them both?
Damn right I do. Look what they did.
Dousing the fire with gasoline, that's your answer? [exasperated] Why am I not surprised?
You still think your way is the only way. You were so proud when they pulled their little sprinkler prank the other day, but if they stood their ground and kicked some ass like I taught them, this never would've happened.
And if they fight every time they're provoked, where does that lead? Back to the hospital? Or to jail? Come on, Just because you spent time in both...
SSam
Johnny's right. It doesn't matter how many times we stand up to Cobra Kai, if we don't strike back, they're gonna keep coming at us.
[to Johnny] And you were worried about my influence on your kids? Is this what you want, Johnny? To have my daughter and the rest of my students acting like you?
You don't have to worry about it anymore. 'Cause we're done.
Eagle Fangs, let's go. [they leave]
[Daniel and Amanda return to the old Miyagi-do dojo]
What are we doing here? I thought we were heading home.
Uh, we just have to make a quick stop. Come on.
[they enter the house, but when they go towards Mr Miyagi's old room]
Amanda, I don't go in there.
Hey. It's okay. You're hurting right now. But I want you to heal. And I'm right here. [they enter the long-closed room]
[soaks up the environment, looking at all of Mr Miyagi's things, including his old picture of Yukie and his painting instructions to Daniel] It's like a time capsule in here.
The night before we got married, I was so nervous. I came here to see Mr. Miyagi. He sat me down, poured me a cup of tea... and some sake. And we talked about you. He loved you so much, Daniel. He said to me, "Amanda-san, in life, always easier to hide head in sand." He told me you could be a bit of a handful sometimes. That you would always fight for what you believed in. And there was nothing you believed in more than your family and friends. And what I believe in now is standing up to Terry Silver. It's the right thing to do for you, for me, for our family. Sorry it took me so long to realize.
That means the world to me, Amanda. But what if standing up to Silver just makes things worse again? Every time I try to fight for what's right, somebody gets hurt. I can't fail these kids again.
You didn't fail me. [Daniel sees Robby and Sam at the door] Sam and my dad told me what was going on. You know, when you first met me, I was a messed-up kid. But you gave me a job. And a home. And a purpose. You can't just give up.
Robby, the things I did, juvie, I was... I was just trying to help you.
No, I'm... I'm sorry. I should've listened to you about Cobra Kai. But I didn't understand until I started mentoring someone myself. Now Silver's got a hold on this kid. There's some others in there I care about too, and, uh, we need to stop Cobra Kai. But we can't do it without you. Sensei.
SSam
Dad, not everyone has someone like you to protect them and teach them. It's time that all of us join this fight.
[they go to the back garden and see the Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang students, plus Amanda, Johnny and Chozen]
SSam
You're not alone anymore. So what do you say, Dad? Will you fight?
[the crowd bows to Daniel. He joins Johnny and Chozen, and they all bow to the students]
[Sam, Eli/Hawk, Demitri, Bert, and Miguel crash Stingray's DnD session to ask him to come clean about his deal with Terry Silver, but he's too scared to do it]
Okay, so I've been working on this new D&D campaign...
I don't think we have time for this.
EEli
Wait a minute. What happens in the campaign, Stingray?
[picks up a piece and places in the field] Okay, so, once upon a time, there was a Dwarven monk, and he was a member of the most badass guild in all the land. Uh, he was banished for a time. You know, typical PC crap. But, um, once he paid his penance, he returned. Only by then, the guild was under new leadership. And the monk was denied reentry into the guild. And quite unceremoniously, might I add. What did the monk do? The monk, he made a pact with a silver-haired king who would usurp the leader. [places another piece near the monk piece] And it was early one morning, before any of the warriors had arrived, that the king struck the monk down. Again, and again, and again. It was then that they framed the leader for the assault, and the leader was put in chains, and the silver-haired king took over the guild.
DDemitri
And you were... The Dwarven monk was let back into the guild?
EEli
Yeah. With benefits.
Aye. With benefits, yeah.
So why can't he just tell everyone what really happened?
SSam
Because he doesn't want to lose his benefits.
No! No. I would... The-The monk would give it all back if he could, but the-the silver-haired king, you know, he... He almost killed the monk. He could have killed him. And why? To get power. So, yeah, the monk fears what that king would do to keep that power. I think the monk just... The monk just wanted reentry into the guild because he thought that he could be like a... Like a proud and noble warrior. Just like you, Hawk, Samantha, all you guys. But he's neither proud nor noble. Definitely not a warrior. He just sits around playing with them all day. The monk's just scared. I just can't. I'm sorry.
SSam
That's great. Thanks for nothing. [walks out]
