This WEIRD story of "Wanda the Witch" is brought to you, courtesy of the letter W. Wanda the Witch lived somewhere WEST of WASHINGTON. Around her WAIST, instead of her belt, she brought a WORM. Wanda had a pet WEASEL.
And on her head...a WIRY WIG. On WEDNESDAY, in the middle of the WINTER, Wanda walked to the WELL, to get WATER to wash her WIG. Hah! The WHEEL on the WELL was WORN. And Wanda grew WEARY. So...she WAVED her WAND, had a WASHTUB filled with WARM WATER. And just as Wanda was about to drop her WIG into the warm water... A WILD WIND, WHIPPED THE WIG FROM HER HAND, AND BLEWED IT AWAY FOREVER!! WITCH thought Wanda did left it. WITCHES who WASHED their WIGS, on WINDY WIND to WEDNESDAYS, are WACKY.
Uh... hiya. My name is Kermit, and Gordon has asked me to say a word or two and be half of the letter W. Now, uh... this is the letter W, by the way. It is an easy letter to make. It's made with four straight lines. And you need a W to make such words as WASH, and WOMAN, and uh... WEEPING WILLOW, and uh... [Notices that a straight line of W has been eaten by Cookie Monster] uh... I-I-I-I'm sorry, there was some sort of mistake here, I thought I was supposed to talk about W, but they sent me an N here instead. Now, uh...that's an N, see? Uh... three lines. ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! The W as I said before has four lines. Anyways, the N is not a bad letter. And you need an N for NICE, and there's an N in NIFTY, and there's couple of them in NINCOMPOOP, and uh... [Notices that another straight line of W has been eaten by Cookie Monster]
Uh... as I was saying the letter V is an okay letter, I mean it's on the list of okay letters. Uh... V is for VICTORY and for VERY CONFUSED, and... [Notices that the third straight line of W has been eaten by Cookie Monster] Now, this is...this is an I!! Uh... tilted or, could be number 1, BUT whatever it is, it is not what it was a couple of minutes ago, and uh... [Notices that the last straight line of W has been eaten by Cookie Monster] some people whom eat anything. Uh...so I hope...I hope this has been an informative little talk on the letter W, or V, or... [To the Cookie Monster as Cookie monster starts to eat Kermit] Easy boy, there! Take it easy now! [To the viewers] or N, or whatever uh... [To the Cookie Monster] Cool it! COOL IT THERE, FELLA!! [To the viewers] So uh... [To the Cookie Monster] Hey listen!! I think I hear your mother calling you! [To the viewers] I'll see ya' round.
