Deputy Siobhan Kelly quotes from Banshee

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

You checking up on me?

Lucas Hood

No I came to get you. You shouldn't stay here.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

What are you kidding me? What do I have a curfew now too

Lucas Hood

No.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

Well this is my house and I'm not leaving.

Lucas Hood

Well I guess I'm staying too then.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

When the time comes for you to spend the night, it won't be to protect me.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

What are you thinking about?

Lucas Hood

I don't know. I was thinking about something someone said to me the other day. [Pause] I mean you get used to a certain way of being and uh... Do you think we are who we are or do you think we can change?

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

What you mean people like you?

Lucas Hood

Me, you, people in general.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

I don't know if anyone ever changes really but we can evolve, right. I mean that's what we're trying to do isn't it, just become better versions of ourselves.

Lucas Hood

[Pause] So you think we evolve.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

I'm counting on it.

Lucas Hood

I don't think he did lose it. I think he made a conscious choice. They hurt his family, he needed to make 'em pay.

Deputy Siobhan Kelly

We would have made them pay.

Lucas Hood

Yeah, but he needed it to come from him. Think of it like you and Breece. Look, there is a point at which any one of us will do exactly what Emmett did. It's just a question of what puts us in that situation where the circumstances outweigh the consequences. We go to the station every day and we're supposed to be dealing in justice, but all we're really doing is enforcing a set of rules. But justice, real justice, is personal. Sometimes the only way to get it is with your own two hands.
