Kai Proctor quotes from Banshee

Kai Proctor

[To Rebecca after having her boyfriend strangled in front of her while they were making love] You're either with me or you're not. Do you understand?

Kai Proctor

If any of my employees ever stepped out of line, hassled you in any way, I'd expect you to call me. What I mean is I wouldn't want you to take matters into your own hands.

Sugar Bates

Look at me. Nobody runs from a fight faster than an old fighter.

Kai Proctor

You know generally Banshee is a pretty quiet town but after you arrived it's been one thing after another, it's almost as if you brought it all with you. "And behold a Pale Rider and his name that sat upon him was Death and Hell followed with him", Revelations 6:8.

Lucas Hood

Yeah I've never had much patience for people who quote scripture.

Kai Proctor

This is God's country, you better acquire a taste for it.

Rebecca

You wanted to see me, Uncle?

Kai

Yeah. Our friend from Philadelphia tells me you were a little confused about the offer he delivered from Mr. Frazier earlier today.

Rebecca

It wasn't an offer. It was an insult.

Kai

It was a first step in repairing a long-standing and very important business relationship.

Rebecca

They were buying from our competition and you want to reward that with a discount?

Kai

They're the customer. I want to earn their business back. A small concession towards a bigger future.

Rebecca

But that's not what we agreed upon.

Kai

I already agreed to Frazier's terms. We will reduce the unit price, stop all sales to the Salvadorans immediately. Is that understood?

Rebecca

Uncle. [She walks up to him and quietly speaks Amish]

Kai

[in patriarchal tone] Is that understood, Rebecca?

Rebecca

Yes.

Kai

Good. Now, I called you in because I'm sure you'd like to apologize to Mr. Lennox and his associates for the misunderstanding.

Rebecca

I apologize for the misunderstanding. It won't happen again.

Kai

Good. Thank you, Rebecca. You can go now. [She walks away]

Thank you, Mr. Proctor.

[Giving an outdoor service baptizing Kai] In the name of the Lord and the Church, we extend to you the hand of fellowship. "I am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake and remembers your sins no more." Rise up and be ye a faithful member of the Church. In youth we learn. In age we understand. This belonged to your mother.

Kai

Thank you, Father. Thank you. [Frazier's goons arrive and seize Kai and Emily, leading them to their vehicle]

Move, Kai. Let's go. [Rebecca runs after the vehicle firing off a pistol]

Please, stop.

[Kai speaks Amish] What the hell did you say? [Leans into Kai who bites off goon's nose tip and he screams] Fսck!

Kai

[Spits out nose tip] I said come closer.

Rebecca

I'm sorry.

Kai

You're impetuous. Reckless. You defied me.

Rebecca

I thought I was helping you.

Kai

[Burton ties Kai's bow] Thank you Burton. Bring the car around. [Burton walks out] I've been dealing with men like Frazier and Morales since before you were born. You'll learn, Rebecca. But in order to learn, you have to accept the fact that you don't know anything. Not yet.

Rebecca

I understand.

Kai

Having said that, we've both made mistakes, mistakes that can never happen again.

Rebecca

Are you going to Philadelphia?

Kai

We all are. [Rebecca walks past him]

Mr. Mayor, this is the third murder of a young woman this year. Is this a serial killer?

Is it true that the latest victim was your niece?

Mr. Mayor, why are the police reports being withheld?

Kai

Here's what we know. Here's what we know. Yesterday the body of Rebecca Bowman was found near the mouth of the Dellwood Basin. She was murdered. And while the police can't say for certain, there are definitely similarities between this case and the murders of two other young women that occurred over the last year. The Banshee Sheriff's Department has notified the FBI and agents are enroute to assist in the investigation. And to answer your question, yes, Rebecca was my niece. And, yes, you can rest assured that neither I nor Sheriff Lotus and the members of his department will rest until we have found this sick, twisted bastard.

Kai

[To Burton driving him] Mr. Watts has made provisions to keep all five facilities running around the clock. I'll need you to keep an eye on things. I don't trust him. If I don't deliver on my promise to the Colombians, Watts is gonna be the least of our problems. [Spots crowd at city hall] Stop the car. Stop the car! [Burton parks vehicle]

[Kai walks to crowd of Amish] Excuse me, Mr. Mayor? Mayor Proctor, why are offices holding on with Rebecca Bowman's body?

Kai

What the hell are you doing, Miriam?!

We want her back, Kai! You can't keep her like this!

Kai

I'm not keeping her!

You can fix it!

Kai

Rebecca wasn't the only girl who was killed!

She's the only one we need to bury!

It's not right keeping her body like that! It's disrespectful!

Kai

I'm gonna give you two minutes to get these men out of here!

We will not leave without Rebecca.

Kai

You lost all rights to Rebecca when you shunned her! If you don't leave right now, I'm gonna have you dragged away and put into jail.

We are not scared of you anymore, Kai. There's nothing else you can do to us.

Kai

I wouldn't be so sure about that. [Turns to walk into city hall]

Mr. Mayor? Mayor Proctor...

Kai

[Turns speaking Amish to crowd] Go home! All of you! Get out, now! Or you will all go to jail! Go away! [Lunges at crowd with Burton thwarting him]

Sir, sir. We should go inside.

Kai

[Walking into city hall to Stacy] I want these steps cleared right now! You understand?!

They have a permit.

Kai

I don't give a shit!

Kai

[Enters room] Burning the midnight oil, I see. This is not the place to talk business, Calvin.

That's fine because we no longer have any business to discuss. The Brotherhood no longer works for you.

Kai

Is that so?

Yes, that is so.

Kai

Well, that's unfortunate.

Not from where I'm sitting. I can't help but wonder what Watts will think about this. Well, why don't we ask him? [Produces Randall's severed head and places it on desk] What do you think, Randall? Seems the cat got Watts's tongue.

Kai

That's a bold choice.

Yeah. I thought you'd like that. [Sighs] So here's how it's gonna work. Everything that's yours is now ours. Warehouses, shipments, buyers, I fսcking want all of it. You can go quietly or you can go bloody, but either way you are gone. [Chuckles] You can keep the head as a souvenir.

Mr. Proctor.

Kai

Senor Loera. Good to see you again.

I must admit I'm a little surprised that you were able to pull this off.

Kai

I don't promise what I can't deliver. Bring it up.

Show me. Hi. [Truck door opens to reveal Carrie with three dead goons and the mafiosos all cock and aim their guns]

Carrie

As long as we all whipping our shit out... [Camera reveals Job on top of Truck aiming his M60 gun at them] Emilio Loera, I take it?

Who the fսck are you?

Carrie

I'm nobody.

You know my name, so you know who I am. Which means you know what kind of a mistake it would be to try to steal from me, right?

Carrie

I wouldn't dream of stealing from you. No, I came here to provide you with a valuable service.

Oh, yeah? Which is what?

Carrie

I came to show you that Mr. Proctor was mistaken when he told you that Banshee was a safe place for you to set up your manufacturing. Very mistaken. I mean, if he had it so locked down, how did I steal this truck full of all these drսg?

Kai

[Raises gun] I'm gonna fսcking slit your throat.

[Raises hand] Stop. [To Carrie] I suppose you have some fee in mind for this service.

Carrie

No. Sometimes a service is its own reward. Just let my friend and me walk away right now and we'll call it even.

[Laughs] Start walking.

Kai

You're not just gonna let her walk out of here?

[Raises hand] Shut up. Hey, Miss Nobody. Did you really think that I was gonna let you leave?

Carrie

No, actually, I didn't. [A rocket propelled grenade fired by Brock flies into truck and detonates it entirely]

[Lowers down PSRL-1 rocket launcher] That's right. Someone just blew up your fսcking drսg. [Job and Carrie run to Mercedes vehicle, drive it to pick up Brock]

Carrie

Nice shot.

Thanks. You know, you really need to stop doing this shit.

Carrie

You invited yourself.

I'm serious. It's become like a bad habit with you.

Carrie

This was the last time.

I've heard that shit before. This is a very nice car.

[To Kai] Ev... Everything I did... [Gasps] ...I did for you.

[On table] Untie me! Untie me, you son of a bitch!

[Sitting with hood obscuring eye] You're ruining him. I can't let that happen anymore.

He loves me! You... You don't understand! Don't do this!

He doesn't see you... but I do. [Leans into Rebecca with hood off] I... SEE... YOU...!

Burton, please!

[Voiceover yelling] I see you!

[Repeatedly] I'm sorry.

Kai

It's okay. It's all right, Burton. It's all right. [Snaps Burton's neck]
