Wanda Li quotes from The Magic School Bus

[The class is appearing on Gerri Poveri's talk show, "In Your Face."]

Wanda

We knew the monster was big enough and light enough to float, so all we had to do was let it loose! And you know the rest. Your very own monster ended up in your face!

[The class laughs at Wanda's remark.]

Carlos

Oh no, you don't! You just want to grab more stuff!

Janet

[to Carlos] Hey I'm just trying to help! If you want to play "Let's find Ms. Frizzle without a map"...!

[Janet, she storms off in a huff.]

Janet

FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! THAT IS FINE WITH ME!

[Janet --after saying this-- takes a seat on to her planetary samples.]

Janet

[sighs and huffs] Hmph!

[Takes a seat on her planetary samples.]

Arnold

Ms. Frizzle might be on Saturn. Couldn't she?

[Wanda is in control of the bus and says...!]

Wanda

OK, ARNOLD! BUT IT IS YOUR DUTY TO KEEP YOUR CRAZY COUSIN UNDER CONTROL!

[Wanda --from offscreen-- runs to Arnold, scoops him up, gets him bound on his cousin Janet's lap, buckles him down with the seatbelt on his cousin's lap, and makes him sit there through the entire rescue mission for finding Ms. Frizzle. Arnold --happily-- totally agrees with Wanda's idea. And she --Wanda-- makes Arnold prevent any dangerous actions with their rescue mission. Then she runs back to the driver's seat.]

Arnoldː I OBJECTǃ

Keesha

What now, Arnold?

Arnold

I object to being the smallest defense attorney in history!

Wanda

I object to where we are! Look!

[Ralphie tries to take the rock out of the catapult, but accidentally launches himself]

Ralphie

Whoa!

Wanda

Ralphie, come back!

Classː Ralphieǃ

Wanda

It is okay, Arnold. I do not blame you. (I forgive you. After all, it was an accident.)

[She --faintly-- smiles after saying this.]

Arnold

You don't?

[After Arnold says this, her smile turns into a frown. That is, as she says...!]

Wanda

No.

[Despite Arnold's apology, Wanda does forgive Arnold. But then, she gets furious. That is, as she says...!]

Wanda

[in an outrage] BUT I BLAME YOUR CRUMMY IDEA!
