“Beauty and the Breeder” quotes from Pokémon

Wow, this is unbelievable! Everybody must be here for the contest! They're all so stylish. Hey, Brock, what kind of contest is this?

A Pokémon catching contest? What Pokémon should I use for this one?

It's not a catching contest [Brock brushing Vulpix] It happens to be an important Pokémon Beauty Contest.

So that's why you've been grooming Vulpix, You're gonna enter the contest.

Togepi

Toge! Toge! Toge!

I'm not gonna enter the contest but Vulpix is! I'll explain later. Right now, I have to get Vulpix ready!

Vul!

Vulpix, I have to make you look beautiful.

Vul!

And speaking of beauty, you two could use a little sprucing up! You can't meet Suzie looking all scruffy and scuzzy!

You don't look so great yourself, Brock.

So how do I look now?

You look like the ice cream man.

Pikachu

Pika.

What he means is you look very cool and very sweet.

Togepi

Toge! Toge! Toge!

May I ask a question?

Sure.

I'm minding my own business, trying to get my Ninetales ready for the beauty contest. THEN YOU COME ALONG AND ASK ME A MILLION QUESTIONS! SO MY QUESTION IS, WILL YOU PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE?!!

Oh, I'm sorry.

And there you have it, another masterpiece of Pokémon perfection!

Yes, and true artists can even take a pathetically repulsive Pokémon and bring out its beauty, or at least cover up the ugly.

Hold it right there! These two contestants are frauds! They locked up the real number one contestant and his Marill in a closet and took his place.

Is that really true?

James, talk your way out of this.

We certainly wouldn't have done it if we thought we'd get caught. [Meowth sighs in frustration]

Our original number was 259! How can we make the judges wait that long to see the winners?

We're going to win anyway, so the first-place finishers might as well be the first-place starters.

[erupting into fury] THAT'S THE LAST STRAW! YOU TWO ARE OUTTA HERE!!!

HOW DARE YOU?

AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK!

Fire Spin Attack!

We're blasting off again!
