[Claire enters her shelter, collects a knife, and checks on her fake baby. Kate enters the hut]

[The Man In Black leads his group through the jungle.]
About a quarter mile ahead there's a clearing. We'll make camp there. Everybody fill up on water. We might be there a couple of days.
A couple of days? I thought you said we were getting off this rock?

[Some people within the group notice this dispute. The Man In Black notices them watching him and Sawyer have their arguement]

[The Man In Black leads Sawyer into a jungle clearing away from the rest of the group]

[Sarcasticly] Oh I'm sorry... I forgot my manners.

Yeah right....So what happened back at the temple? How'd you know to rescue everybody from that smoke thing?
I didn't rescue them. [Pause] I'm the smoke thing.
[Sawyer looks shocked and confused by the news]
You telling me you killed all of those people?
I gave them the opportunity to leave peacefully and they didn't take it.

Because they're convinced that they're protecting the Island from me, when in fact all I want to do is leave. [Pause] So it's either kill or be killed. And I don't wanna be killed James.
[Having been captured Sawyer is lead onto Widmore's submarine and into a small room where Charles sits at a desk working on a document]

[Widmore offers his hand to Sawyer but Sawyer does not shake it]
I'm guessing you know who I am?
Of course I do. You're the fella that sent a freighter to the island loaded with guys to kill us all.
[There is a brief pause and a smirk appears on Widmore's face]

[Once again Widmore's face reveals a hint of a smile]

I ain't running errands for nobody.
He said he sent you over to the other island. Did you find the plane?
Yeah I found it and that ain't the only thing over there. Guy named Widmore set up camp over on the beach. He's got a whole team with him, guys with guns, they're here for Locke.
So what are you gonna do?
I'm gonna let them fight it out. And while they got their hands full with each other [He pauses and quickly checks no one is listening] You and me are getting the hell off this Island.
Even if we could get on that plane, who's gonna fly it?

I have to take responsibility for Claire's behaviour. I was the one who told her the Others had her baby.

Have you ever had an enemy? Someone that you needed to hate? Very powerful, isn't it? Claire was devastated without Aaron. She needed something to... something to keep her going. So, I gave her something to hate. And then... when you told her the truth... all those feelings, all that anger that she'd been holding on to for so long... it had to go somewhere.

[Jacob has just subdued Richard when he tried to kill him]

[To Richard] Imagine that this wine is what you keep calling hell. There are other names for it. Malevolence. Evil. Darkness. And it's all down here swirling at the bottom. Unable to get out, because if it did it would spread. Now, the cork is this Island. [Puts a cork in the jug, trapping the wine] And it's the only thing keeping the darkness where it belongs.
That man who told you to kill me believes it is in every person's nature to sin. I bring people here to prove him wrong.

[the Man in Black sits on a log in the shade, he holds a white stone. Jacob shows up]

Got to get you on your feet. Gonna need your strength if we're going to escape.

S6 E10The Package
I'm leavin' for a little while. I got an errand to run.
When will you be back?
In the morning. Keep an eye on the camp while I'm gone.
[The Man In Black turns to leave, Sayid interrupts him and he turns back]
I don't feel anything.

Um... what you said to Jin... about the names on the wall? You told him you needed them all to get off the island?

[Claire seems happy by what she has just been told, but at the same time slightly sad]
When we go home, Aaron's not going to know me. I'll be a stranger to my own son. He thinks Kate's his mother...Was her name on the wall?

Because Claire, I'm three people shy of getting off this island and Kate can help me get those people on the plane. But... once she does... then whatever happens, happens.
[The Man in Black and Sayid prepare to leave]
