You know, some people think that sleeping doesn't matter, but the truth is, sleep is very important because sleep gives your body and your brain the rest it needs. So you can be strong and do things. Why; without sleep, you'd be like a car. [an animated car appears, passing in front of him; suddenly, smoke sputters from the back of the car] That runs out of gas. And you know, everyone thinks sleeping is easy, but the truth is, we all have to learn how to get to sleep. Oh yeah. And sometimes it isn't as easy as it looks but if you just surf off to bed and let go of the day, you know, stop worrying, stop thinking, before you know it, you'll take a trip to dreamland in no time.
[as the word "Holidays" appears] Since time began, people everywhere have celebrated some kind of winter holiday. And the Winter holidays are great! It's when family and friends get together to celebrate the season and be close to each other. And there are all kinds of winter holidays celebrated all over the world. Like, for example, some people celebrate Chanukah with a menorah! [the word "Chanukah" appears, with nine animated candles of the Menorah] And some people celebrate Kwanzaa with a kinara. [the word "Kwanzaa" also appears with an animated feast and seven candles over a shape of an elephant] And some people celebrate Christmas with a Christmas tree! [the word "Christmas" appears with an animated Christmas tree] And we Bears celebrate the season with the Winter Berry. [the animated berry appears, then looks around, facing closer] The Winter berry is a special berry that only grows once a year and everyone tries to find it. But the best thing about the holidays, no matter which one you celebrate, is that the holidays are for everybody! And with you here in the Big Blue House, we can celebrate everything!
[he turns the lamp off] Hey, wait a second. [turns the lamp back on] You don't happen to know what Luna meant by "wait and see?" Do you? [laughs] I'll see you soon! [turns the lamp back off]
[spots the calendar] Wow! Tomorrow is Teacher Appreciation Day. Hmm. I wonder if Tutter and his classmates know about this? Well, I'll find out when I head over to soccer practice.
[he liked the word "Brave" a lot] When you think of the word "brave", you probably think of... A knight saving a castle from a dragon. [an animated knight appears with the dragon behind the castle] Or a superhero who saves the day. [an animated superhero appears holding the Earth] But to be brave, you don't have to be a knight or a superhero. In fact, being brave is something most of us are every day.
Well, a view is the way you see things! And everybody sees things differently. For example, a giraffe can see over the tops of trees. [an animated giraffe appears, along with the trees, bird chirps] But to a ladybug blades of grass can look like a forest! [an animated ladybug appears behind the grass] But a point of view is also the way you feel and think about things. And remember nobody sees the world exactly the way you do!
Tutter's bringing a couple of his friends over tonight for a sleepover. Hey, sleepover. Sleepover. A sleepover is when you stay at a friend's house overnight. Sleepovers are fun and really good practice for when you and your family go on a really long trip and stay at a hotel.
You know, sometimes it's nice to do something at a sleepover that you would do at your house. It helps make you feel more at home in the new place. Okay everybody, baked Brie it is.
