[narrating] O.J. returned from escorting two tramp steamers out to sea. Tired, and still some way from our pier, he decided to take a shortcut through the inlet where old cranes were kept. The fog gave everything a creepy look. Being out for so long in thick fog was playing tricks with him.
[A crane's light flickers on and a crane resembling Big Mickey is seen working in the fog] What's happening? Oh!
[calling through the fog] O.J.!!!
Who's that?! Are those Scuttlebutt’s ghosts? Can’t be. Drat this fog! [O.J. hears Scuttlebutt Pete’s engine working in the fog] What’s that? Sounds like an engine! A crane, working in this stuff? [O.J. jumps as Scuttlebutt Pete's arm suddenly swings out in front of him] Oh, it’s you, Scuttlebutt.
Oi! You stupid tug! You sailed right between us! You scared the daylights out of us altogether!
Thought I was a ghost tug, did ya?
Don't joke about those things!
[Scuttlebutt Pete raises his arm to let O.J. get past him]
Not seeing things, are you? You're beginning to believe those tales you tell.
Well take care, O.J!
Cheerio! [stops as the ghost fleet passes before him] Now I'm seeing things…. They're there! That's the ghost tugs! Right before my eyes. Ooooh, I hope they don't see me…
