Alice quotes from The Tribe

Alice

[sees Lex] Lexy! Lexy baby!

Alice

I think maybe all that essence is finally getting to you.

Alice has decided to be Tai-San’s bodyguard.

Ebony

We’ve already got guards.

And look what a great job they did. Our future depends on this girl and you let her be snatched from under your noses!

Lex

We’re not gonna let it happen again.

Alice

It’s right it won’t happen again, because I’ll be guarding her.

Ebony

Look, Alice. We really appreciate the offer, but …

Tai-San

I think it’s a great idea. Alice, you’re hired!

Alice

Get the cart, Lex. I’m guarding the lady.

Alice

[Tai-San is regaining consciousness] Tai-San?

Tai-San

[to Alice] You have a lovely smile. [to Ellie] And you. [to Danni] And you. But who are you?

Tai-San

Alice! Wake up! Wake up!

Alice

Hey?

Tai-San

It’s Ebony. She needs our help!

Alice

What? Where?

Tai-San

I saw her in a dream and she’s in trouble. Come on!

Alice

In a dream!?

Tai-San

I know it’s happening and it’s very, very bad!

Alice

Sure, sure. Go back to bed and we’ll talk about it in the morning. [Alice goes back to sleep]

You know, you’re real cute when you’re angry.

Alice

You make me sick!

Yeah, well, you know, I try.

Alice

Ellie, have you got something going with Luke?

No, of course not!

Alice

You’re everything to me. You know that, don’t you? I’ve always tried to protect you, be there for you.

Yeah, you have. Alice…

Alice

And through it all, no matter how bad things have got, I’ve always known at least there’s you. At least there’s Ellie to trust. I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t want to. But don’t lose your head, Ellie. Don’t lose your heart. Because you break mine if you do.

May

The Guardian’s going crazy.

Alice

So what’s new?

May

No. I mean really crazy!
