Old Prospector quotes from The Silver Brumby

Damm trappers!

Stone of crows! I must be dead I've seen ghosts!

Oh no! A baby wombat! Stop! STOP!

Saved!

Hooray!

There you go, young fella back to your family.

Oh, thank heavens you're saved.

Hey! Cut it out! What's all the fuss about anyway?

Phew. That was a near thing.

Yeah, saved in the nick of time. But how many weren't saved and how many animals have lost their homes.

Yeah. I guess we hadn't given it much thought.

Built your road if you must but remember the bush is their home and you are the visitors.

Oh it's no good, I can't save her.

[arrives on Echo] No, but you can still save yourself.

Thank heavens you're here. The Silver Brumby he saved me.

Quickly climbed up before it's too late.

Okay I'm coming.

Charlie! Is that you? Are you alright?

Oh, Granddad, you found me. Hurry please I don't think I can hang on mush longer.

It's okay, Charlie. Don't panic. We'll get you out of this mess.

Well done, Thowra.

Thanks, Granddad.

Oh don't thank me, Charlie. Thanked for that Silver Brumby.

I so worried, Charlie. When Snowy came back-

[annoyed] Yeah, yeah, now let the boy alone. And don't bother ticking him off about coming up here he knows it was stupid and he said punishment enough.

But I wasn't going t-

[interrupting] Maybe not. But I reckon he's learn more by himself today then you and I have told him since he was born and in my case... That's quite a lot. Sugar.

[sighs] Don't you go spoiling him while he's up here. And he has to be back in seven days right. We've still got firewood to cut. And to make sure I'll come and get him and teach him the proper way to come next time.
