James quotes from The Flash

How many died?

Joe

No one, luckily.

James

You know, when I was free and at my height, a day without casualties was like - well, like the Cubs winning the pennant - it just never happened.

There's just one thing I've been dying to ask. Why did you choose me?

James

Because I knew you had the strength to fulfill my legacy. Besides, it was in your blood.

Wait. What do you mean in - in my blood?

James

The real reason I tracked you down and groomed you to be the best you could possibly be, Axel - I am your father.

James

Well, hello. You know, I've been in prison for 20 years.

Iris

Then you'll know the routine when you get sent back.
