Why would Roxie give Pignite a Pecha Berry when she knows it cures poisoned Pokémon?

It wouldn't be any fun battling against a poisoned opponent when my third Pokémon energy level is at 120%. This is rock and roll and you gotta pay hard to play hard! [Remember, Roxie is also a punk rock star and has to put on a good show especially during Gym Battles, hence why she gave Pignite a Pecha Berry. Wonder if she does this stunt with other challengers?]
