Peppa and George are goin' to the playgroup. It is George's first day.
George, are you lookin' forward to the playgroup?
Daddy, maybe George is too small to go to my playgroup.
He'll be fine, Peppa. There'll be you and Mr. Dinosaur there to keep him company.
But I want to play with the big children. Not George and his toy dinosaur.
Oh, dear. Peppa doesn't want George to go to her playgroup.
Daddy, are you sure George is big enough?
Madame Gazelle looks after the children at the playgroup.
Hello! This is my little brother, George!
MGMadame Gazelle
Hello, George!
I wish I had a little brother like George.
Hello! I'm Danny Dog. Is that a dinosaur?
It's just a toy dinosaur.
SSSuzy Sheep, Candy Cat and Rebecca Rabbit
Aah!
MGMadame Gazelle
Argh! Really scary.
George is my brother. He's brilliant.
Peppa is proud of her little brother George.
MGMadame Gazelle
Shall we show George how we paint pictures?
George is not very good at painting.
MGMadame Gazelle
Well, maybe you could help him.
Yes! I'm very good. I will show him how to paint a flower. George, today I'm going to teach you how to paint a flower. First, you paint a big circle. No, George, that's the wrong colour. Now you paint the flower's petals. George! That's the wrong shape. Now you paint the stalk and the leaves. Perfect. George, you have done it all wrong.
MGMadame Gazelle
Now what do we have here?
MGMadame Gazelle
That's very good, Peppa. And George has painted a dinosaur.
MGMadame Gazelle
I think George and Peppa's pictures should go on the wall.
SSSuzy Sheep, Zoe Zebra, Pedro Pony, Candy Cat and Rebecca Rabbit
Hooray!
Peppa and her friends are going to playgroup today. The children each have their own hook to hang their coats on.
MGMadame Gazelle
Today we have a new pupil. Emily Elephant.
Peppa, Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog, Candy Cat, Pedro Pony, Rebecca Rabbit, and Zoe Zebra: Hello, Emily.
MGMadame Gazelle
The first event is running. [Everyone is in the running track]
The children have to run as fast as they can.
I think I will win. I can run very fast.
MGMadame Gazelle
Ready, steady, go! [The children run with Rebecca Rabbit who's in the lead, except Suzy and Peppa]
I can run at a hundred miles an hour.
I can run at a million miles an hour.
Peppa! Suzy! Stop talking and run!
Oh! [They began racing along with the other kids]
Rebecca Rabbit is in the lead. Oh dear! Peppa and Suzy are right at the back. [Everybody shouts when Rebecca crossed the finish line]
Rebecca Rabbit wins. [pan to Suzy and Peppa] And Peppa and Suzy are last.
MGMadame Gazelle
[at the winner] The winner of the race is Rebecca Rabbit!
[back at both] I would have won if you hadn't been talking to me, Suzy.
Now, now, Peppa. Remember, it's not winning that matters, but taking part.
MGMadame Gazelle
The next race is the relay. Each child needs to pick a parent to race with.
But, Daddy, you're not very good at running.
I was very good when I was a little piggy.
But now you have a big tummy.
But I can still touch my toes. Nearly.
Alright Daddy. But you must run very fast.
The mummies and daddies will run the first part of the race and then hand the batons to the children.
MGMadame Gazelle
Mummies and daddies, ready, steady, go.
Daddy Pig is in the lead.
CChildren
Come on, Daddy! [Dad gives the baton to Peppa]
Thank you, Daddy. You did very well. Now it's my turn to...
Peppa! Stop talking and run!
AAll

MGMadame Gazelle
And the winner is Emily Elephant!

Don't worry, Peppa there's still one more event.
(says the title of the episode and camera slowly zooms in on the teacher and kids)
It is a school day. Peppa and her friends are having a music lesson.
MGMadame Gazelle

(coughs) Sorry, Madame Gazelle. (coughs)
Oh, dear! Pedro has a cough. [the rest of the boys are a little stunned]
MGMadame Gazelle
Not to worry. I'll ring Doctor Brown Bear. [taps the phone number and cut to Dr. Brown Bear's Office]
DBDoctor Brown Bear
Doctor Brown Bear speaking.
MGMadame Gazelle
Hello, doctor? This is Madame Gazelle. A child is ill.
DBDoctor Brown Bear
Don't panic. I'll come straight away. [hangs up and goes to the playgroup] What seems to be the problem?
I've got a cough. (coughs)
DBDoctor Brown Bear
I see. Is it a tickly cough or a chesty cough?
Um, I don't know, but it goes like this. (coughs)
DBDoctor Brown Bear
Hmm. And when did you get this cough?
When Madame Gazelle started singing.
DBDoctor Brown Bear
It's nothing serious, but Pedro's cough may be catching.
What do you mean, "catching"?
DBDoctor Brown Bear
When one person has a cough, sometimes other people get that cough, too.
DBDoctor Brown Bear
Just a little spoonful. [takes a dip of medicine...] I'm afraid it doesn't taste very nice. [and slurps it onto Pedro's mouth.]
Ugh! (sadly) It tastes like an old shoe full of jam.
MGMadame Gazelle
Thank you, Doctor Brown Bear,
DBDoctor Brown Bear
[picks up the kit] Goodbye.
(The loud music racket with band all playing simultaneously)
MGMadame Gazelle
Stop, stop, stop. That is not music, that just noise.
It is time for playgroup.
MGMadame Gazelle

Wow! You're really tall, so you must be really old!
MGMadame Gazelle

MGMadame Gazelle
Take a recorder each.
[children laughing]
MGMadame Gazelle
Now, does anyone know how to play music on the recorder?
You blow it, like this! [gasp]
[Peppa blows very flute loudly]
