“Hell Hath No Furies” quotes from Femme Fatales

Judge Aldrich, the evidence before you documents a close, personal relationship between Lydia Gonzales and an underworld crime boss known as El Jefe.

Well, how close?

Well, the U.S. Attorney's office believes that Ms. Gonzales can provide a name and identity for El Jefe, whose organization is also responsible for...

Dozens of brazen acts of violence and depravity in their bid to drive out the cartels and take over the nationwide distribution of cocaine and heroin. [to Lydia Gonzales] Ms. Gonzales, it takes a lot to get me away from my grandchildren on the night before Christmas. Now, this El Jefe, he's been terrorizing cities all across this country, and now he wants to export his violence to Cuesta Verde, but we're not gonna let that happen. Now, are you gonna tell us his identity or not?

If I tell you, he'd kill me.

We've already offered to place Ms. Gonzales in the Witness Protection program. That's if she cooperates.

Then what's the problem? Ms. Gonzales?

There's no protection from El Jefe. He can get anyone, anywhere.

Am I to understand you're this man's mistress?

Yes, sir.

I don't know whether you're siento or not, but I have no sympathy for people who consort with – with gangsters. You knew where El Jefe got his money from, didn't you?

Yes, but I never...

You traded your morals for a life of luxury. You thought the devil could borrow your soul for a while, and that you'd get it back, eventually. Wrong. Now you have to suffer the consequences for your foolhardiness. [to Chris Wade] What do you plan to charge her with?

Well, numerous counts of conspiracy, perjury and obstruction of justice.

Ms. Gonzales, I'm ordering you held without bail, pending arraignment.

You're gonna lock me up?! You can't!

Maybe spending Christmas in jail, reflecting on your, uh, less-than-stellar choices in life will, uh, inspire you to do the right thing.

Oh, but you don't understand. He'll find me! He'll kill me!

Officer!

[as a police officer arrives and escorts her out of Judge Aldrich's office] He'll kill me! Please, you don't understand! You don't understand! Please! Please, he'll kill me! I'm dead! I'm dead!!!

Lilith

[in a Christmas outfit] It looks like Lydia Gonzales's pleas for mercy have gone unheeded. Lydia did try and warn the judge that El Jefe could reach her, no matter where she would hide, and now, her warning is about to be proven all too true. It appears that Lydia Gonzales and the men and women of Cuesta Verde Precinct 13 are about to have a very, very bad Christmas. [chuckles]

[referring to Cuesta Verde] Take a good look at this town. It will be ours soon, and they won't even see it coming.
