I know that most of you will find this difficult to accept. That's only because you've been manipulated. Poisoned into believing the news media's fake story, that I am evil. That I am a criminal! Quite the opposite is true. Because I challenged the system. Because I told the truth and I tried to make this city a better place, the people in power decided to tear me down. To tear me down with false allegations. They sent someone to frame me -- Daredevil! The killer who's now showing his true colors. Who's tried to murder people in newspaper offices and churches, attacking our sacred institutions. Believe me, Daredevil is our true public enemy!

Listen to me very carefully: If we take Karen Page into custody, she'll be dead before she reaches HQ. [off his look] No, don't react. Just get her the hell away from us, we clear?

I know who you are, Mr. Fisk. You are a wolf, too. Men like you took away my family, took my ability to love... and almost took my life. You will take nothing more.

Step one, we work together. Step two, we come up with a plan. And step three, we execute that plan.

That's genius. Come up with that by yourself?

So, I'm still working out the details.

Sami was curled up with me in a bathtub, waiting for men to come kill him. Do you know what I hoped for in that moment? That they'd kill him first, so he didn't have to watch me die. How do you fix that?

Seems, Seems... I am so sorry. But I will make you and Sami safe. I promise you.

SSeema

I can't let what you say matter to me anymore, Rahul. Sami deserves at least one person in his life he can trust. And that's never going to be you.

Are you ready for this? Testifying's not gonna be easy.

I love my job. I love being the good guy. I wanna be on the right side of the line again.

You didn't love it enough to stop Fisk.

Fisk knows how to make people vulnerable. He got my sister-in-law's health insurance cancelled. He left my family with bills to pay, bills that I had to ta--

So you take a loan, you sell your house, you figure it out.

It wasn't that easy--

You backed his play, Ray, you moved him into his hotel and you gave him his toys back.

He was giving us information that saved lives--!

Yeah, while he was taking lives. While he was taking over the city, you knew--

Well, what the hell are you doing?! I thought you were my lawyer!

I am your lawyer, Ray, but I can't do anything to help you if you don't answer this one simple question -- why didn't you blow the whistle when you watched your boss murder an agent?

...I don't know.

Or when you watched Dex walk in that church? You didn't say a goddamn word when he murdered a priest.

I don't know--

THEN WHY ARE WE HERE?!

BECAUSE I TOOK THE DAMN BAIT! Because I didn't want my son just to see me as an average federal employee...! I messed up. I destroyed my life. My family's life. And I would do anything to take it all back again.

Good. You tell that to the DA, and I can help you.

I think it's time we speak plainly. Speak honestly.

I'm always honest with you.

When I first met you, I was fascinated by your strength. Your brutality so clear to me, even as you hid it from me. I wanted to observe everything you did. And as I did, I fell in love with you. But this? If this is all we have... it will leave me lonely, Wilson. As lonely as I was in Spain. When you stopped your man from speaking in front of me, I... I was reminded that I am not a part of your life. Not fully, and so not at all. And this... I don't want to admire your world. I want to live inside of it with you.

Vanessa... It's one thing to know my work. But it's another... to dirty your hands with it.

My hands were never clean. If you truly want me... share your life with me! Fully.

[recording a video] Hey, beautiful. It's me. I'm home. You remember our wedding vows? "I love you more than life itself". I still do. And Sami? Your name means "Elevated". And that's what you did for me. You made my life better in the most unexpected ways. Elevate your mom now.

I hoped it'd be you.

Hi, Ray. Come on inside. Let's talk.

Come on, Dex. We both know you're a better liar than that. You want a private place to kill me.

You're in a tough spot, Ray. I get that. It sounds hard. Really hard.

When he's done with you, he'll bury you, too. You know that, right?

I'm doing fine. And you would be, too, if you hadn't opened your mouth.

It's not too late to turn things around, Dex. Fisk manipulated you, just like he did me and Tammy and everyone else. I can help you cut a deal with the DA. We can take him down, you and me. Two federal agents... like we were before.

[scoffs] No, that's not gonna happen, Ray. I'm more than a fed now. I feel more myself than I have in my whole life. Fisk gave me that.

As long as I'm alive, my family's at risk.

[points the gun at Nadeem] Let's go, Ray.

[last words] I'm not going anywhere with you, Dex. [sighs] Whatever you need to do... you do it here.

[Nadeem attempts to shoot Dex with a gun but Dex shoots him first, Nadeem dies]

I never knew that I could feel this way until the day that we met. I didn't think that I was capable, that there would be someone... that I would care for more than my own life. That her happiness would be more important than anything else. And then... the terrifying thought occurred to me that perhaps my feelings were a trick. The self-deception of a vain man. That the only reason why I love you is because of the way I see my reflection in your eyes. That thought, it fills me with dread. The fear that... That I don't deserve you. And that I am broken!

Don't you understand we're all broken? The point is to find the person whose broken pieces fit with yours.

It's, uh-- It's not murder if it's self-defense, right?

Technically, plotting to kill someone is the exact legal opposite of self-defense.

I have a question: Did you enjoy the feeling you got when you killed those birdies?

"Birdies"?

The ones you killed with rocks. Bet it felt good at first, right? Then it's never the same after that. What do you think Doctor Mercer would say if she could see you now?

Can you hang on a second? I need a tissue for all the tears I'm crying over my shitty childhood.

[via video message recorded before death] If you're showing this to Sami, I need you to stop the video now. For everyone else... My name is Special Agent Ray Nadeem of the FBI, and under federal law, I swear that the testimony I'm about to give is the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth... and should be considered my dying declaration. I'm guilty of a number of criminal acts, and I was in no way acting alone. Wilson Fisk coerced me and a number of fellow FBI agents into aiding and abetting a criminal conspiracy... to extort protection money from New York crime organizations. Agents Arinori, Johnson, Markham, Mockter, O'Connor and Ramsey all took part and continue to act as Fisk's operatives under the orders of our boss, Special Agent in Charge Tammy Hattley. There may be others. I can't be sure. But I personally witnessed SAC Hattley murder Agent Winn in her kitchen, using my handgun. And then witnessed Fisk's aide, Felix Manning, remove the body and use this crime and threat against my family to blackmail me into cooperating with Fisk. I'm not making any excuses, because I aided and abetted the worst crime of them all. I personally drove Special Agent Ben Poindexter to the Clinton Church... dressed in a fake Daredevil suit. I knew at this point that Poindexter was the killer who attacked the Bulletin, and I knew he was gonna do something horrible at the church. But I let it happen anyway. So I'm guilty of aiding and abetting the murder of Father Paul Lantom. I'm ashamed of what I've done. But that doesn't change the fact that I and everyone I just named are guilty as hell. Seems... you need to get this video to my attorneys. And don't try and run. Go to the FBI and pretend like you don't know anything about any of this. Tell them I'm a monster. [sobs] It's the only way that you and Sami can get through this. I'm sorry, baby. I will always love you. [kisses]
