Numbers help us keep track of things by counting them. [animated toys appear] For example, you count how many toys you have... [he counts] One, two-two toys. Two toys. [an animated house appears with the letter Y] And the number on Y, our house tells you where you live. [an animated ruler appears] And you are-a certain number of inches tall. [an animated cake appears with five candles] And the number of candles on your birthday cake, tell how old you are. Are you two years old? Or three? Four? Five years old? [chuckles] Or are you older? See your age is an important number to know, too. Yup. Numbers. They are everywhere!

You know, when you have something that's all your own that can be very special; but sometimes, it's even nicer to share. [an animated hand appears, revealing seven blue letters] "Sharing". [views the word "Sharing" on the bottom side of the screen] Sharing is not always easy, but it's a big part of life. Because there are so many things you can share. Like, for example, you can share a snack with a friend! [an animated sandwich appears, making it half; crunching sounds are heard] Or you can share a toy. [a fire truck appears, passing in front of him] And there's lots of things that's easy to share, like a smile! [an animated smile from "I've Got Your Number" appears as well] Yeah. Sharing is great. [to Pip & Pop over the clam expedition] Hold it, guys, guys, guys. Instead of arguing, I think there's a way we can do this. Were you both satisfied?

[after the word "Discovery" appears] Do you know what letter "Discovery" begins with? [a cartoon magnifying glass appears] "D"! That's right! A discovery is something that you never knew about before. And there are lots of ways to discover things. Like... Folks dug up bones from the ground and discovered dinosaurs. [animated bones appear, forming the shape of a dinosaur] And if you use a telescope, you can see things far, far away and you might discover a new star or planet. [an animated telescope appears, along with a group of stars] And if you look hard enough at the ground, you might discover a new bug no one's seen before. [an animated bug appears in front of him] But, you don't need to discover a new star or a planet or a dinosaur to make a discovery. If something is new to you, that is a discovery!
