[Vi walks over to Powder, who is sitting on her bed and decorating a bomb]
What are you calling this one?

You don't have to be. Look, I've got these. [shows her fists] And you've got those. [points to some of Powder's bombs]
[They walk out onto the roof and sit down]
See that gutter running along the canal? [she grabs a pipe for Powder to look through] That's where Claggor got his foot stuck running from enforcers. They thought it was funny, so they left him there. He was out all night before we found him. [Powder smiles] That sign? You see it?
[looking through the pipe to see a sign with a middle-finger graffitied on it] Uh-huh.
Mylo tripped over his own paint bucket and nearly fell off trying to draw a giant middle finger. His ass made that splotch. [Powder laughs] And that? [points to a stuffed rabbit stuck on a wire and sighs] When I was a kid, some guy took my favorite toy and threw it up there. I used to come out here at night and stare at it, hoping maybe the wind or a bird might knock it down. We've all had bad days. But we learn, and we stick together. [she squeezes Powder's shoulder]
Oh, I forgot. [pulls out three Hextech crystals] These were in my pocket. They're from the apartment.
I don't know. Should we show Vander?
[quickly] No. [Powder's smile falters] Let's keep this our little secret. [Powder smiles again] Mylo's wrong, Powder. You're stronger than you think. [she stands] And one day, this city's gonna respect us.
Surely, we, the pioneers of science, can use it for good. We are the champions of discovery. Why fear it when we can master it?
This is the city of progress. Think of the wonders we could create! Let me prove—
Enough! You don't understand what's at stake. But how can you? That's a burden that only I here carry: time. I have seen this power in the wrong hands. It corrupts, consumes, lays waste to civilizations. That cannot happen here, my boy. It must not.
[checking on the kids after the enforcers leave] You all okay?
[jumps down] No, we're not okay. They almost saw Powder. What if they took her?

It's already happening! You heard him, they won't stop. We need to fight back! [she punches the wall] And if you won't, I will.
[sighs] I've heard this kind of talk before.
[He takes her out to the bridge]
[sighs] You still don't understand.
What I don't understand is how you can work with them! We were here, we saw what they did. I grew up knowing I'm less than them, that my place is down there. I want Powder to have more than that and I'm willing to fight for it.
So was I. I was angry, just like you. I led us across this bridge, thinking things could change. If I hadn't, your parents would still be alive. I know you wanna hurt the topsiders for what they've done to us. But who are you willing to lose? Mylo? Claggor? Powder? [Vi is silent. Vander moves to stand beside her] Nobody wins in war, Vi.
[resting her head on his shoulder] What are we gonna do? The Enforcers will come back.
[sighs] I... I don't know. I'll uh, I'll figure it out.
[Jayce is standing at the edge of the crumbled building, preparing to commit suicide]
[angry and startled] The hell's your problem?! [sees Viktor is holding a book] What's that? Another list with my name on it?
Actually, yes. But only because you signed your notes. Every page, I might add. Eh, a little egotistical, don't you think?
Is that why you came? To insult me?
[shakes his head] No, no, I was... I was intrigued by what you said at the trial.
[bitterly] That makes you the only one.
Yes, well, I wanted to talk about your work. This, Hextech theory of yours.
It's not a theory. I saw with my own eyes what magic can do, the lives it could save. You've no idea, how beautiful it is. And now it's gone. No one believed me.

[Viktor and Jayce are attempting to break into Heimerdinger's lab, and they are caught by Mel with a flashlight.]
Hm, willing to risk exile for your endeavor. That's quite the conviction.
Councilor! Uh... What a surprise to see you, huh?
[at the same time] Wait a minute, this isn't my bedroom. [chuckles] How could I have...
[knowing they're caught] Please. We can prove that it works.
Hmm. You couldn't do so earlier today, how is tonight any different?
We figured out how to stabilize it.
You're the Professor's assistant.
Even if you manage to prove your theory, the Council would destroy it.
Heimerdinger will recognize the potential.
[chuckles] He already does. It scares him. It scares them all.
I recognize that any worthwhile venture involves risk.
[keys jangling, footsteps, and whistling are heard. Jayce looks panicked]
[desperate] Councilor, this technology, it's real. And no matter what happens here, it's going to change our world. We should be the ones to lead it. Piltover, the land of progress, equality, innovation. I know it sounds impossible, but when have we ever let that stop us? Please, just give us a chance.
One night, gentlemen. Impress me, or I'd suggest you pack your bags.
[weakly] Take care of Powder.
[Powder runs over to Vi, completely unaware that she accidentally caused the deaths of Mylo, Claggor, and Vander]
Did you see me? My monkey bomb finally worked.
...You did this? [Powder sees Vander's body and looks horrified] Why? Why did you do this?
[tearfully] I- I didn't- I was saving you. [notices Claggor's bloodied goggles] I only wanted to help. [sobbing] I only wanted to help! I only wanted to HELP! I only wanted to-
[still sobbing] Please. Please.
I told you to stay away! [punches her in the face]
[screams out] NO! WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?!
[aggressively grabbing her face] Because you're a JINX! Do you hear me? Mylo was right!
[sobbing, blood running from her nose] No. No. No. No. Violet, please.
[Vi releases her, horrified by her blood on her hand.]
Violet please! [continues sobbing. Vi, now also crying, stands and walks away] VI! VI, COME BACK! Please come back! Please Violet, I need you please!
[Vi makes it to an alley wall and slides down against it, sobbing.]
Violet! VIOLET!!! Please! [Silco limps into the alley and approaches her as she continues sobbing on the ground. He holds a knife.]
[noticing Silco standing over Powder, gets to her feet and tries to run to her] Powder. Pow-

[covering her mouth with chloroform] Shh, he'll kill you if he hears you. Come on, let's go.[she continues to scream muffledly until she passes out and he drags her away. Several of Silco's thugs join him, looming over Powder]
[to Powder] Hello, little girl. Where's your sister?
[sits up, crying, and suddenly tackles, hugging his chest] She left me. [Silco stares at Vander's body with understanding] She is not my sister anymore! [After a pause, Silco hugs her back]
...It's okay. We'll show them. We will show them all. [Powder's eye looks out from in his arms, angry and pink, foreshadowing Jinx].
[attempting to sneak up on Caitlyn, ends up getting his arm twisted by her] Ow ow ow, Cait!
Serves you right. [makes eye contact with her mother]
[sarcastically] Oh, I can see that. I mean, there's so much crime to thwart outside your family's tent.
I can only imagine the strings she pulled to have me posted here.
It's your fault, really. For not following her into a career "more befitting your station."
[sighs] She'd do anything to keep me from seeing the real world.
Well at least you'll have front-row seats to the speech.
Mhmm. I'm giving the big address tonight.
Hmm. We really have descended to anarchy.
Have fun herding the drunkards. [they laugh]
[Jinx is busy jamming out and building in her lair]
Jinx. Jinx! Jinx! [bashes her stereo, turning it off]
Half a dozen enforcers, dead! Enforcers, dead!
A building blown to pieces!

Actually, I do. [hands him a Hextech gemstone and giggles, walking over to pull a lever] Happy Progress Day! [an explosion of pink and blue fireworks are set off, showering them with glitter. She hugs him]
How exactly do you propose we go about this?

[sarcastic] Please, tell me.
You expect everyone to give you what you want. If you really want people to talk to you, you have to let them think you have what they want.
[surveys her] You're hot, Cupcake. [she traps Caitlyn against a wall] So what'll it be, man or woman?
Um... [Vi grabs someone who's walking by and tugs him over]

[nervous] Hi. I-I'm Pim. What's your name?
Matilda. But you can call her whatever you want.
[gasps, realizing, before slipping into character] Ah, yes. Matilda. [with a weird accent] Mah parents named me Matilda. After my great-grandmother Matilda, the uh...
It's only a matter of time before those old fools on the Council officially accept your research.
[sighs] My father put hammers in the hands of the people, and they built this magnificent city. Imagine the wonders they could create if we put magic in their hands.
The world will never be the same. The Medardas usually only take from the world. We're not often in the position to give anything back. [she brushes her hand against his]
I couldn't have done it without you. [Mel smiles and kisses him]
[after Caitlyn rescues her from Sevika] Why did you let her go?
Do you ever say thank you? [puts her gun away]
He's gonna know we're here now.
[after a moment] You're an alright shot.
You gonna help me out, Cupcake? [holds out her hand weakly]
[helping her up] Stop calling me that. My name is Caitlyn.
But you're so sweet. Like a cupcake.
[finding Viktor looking troubled] Good to see some things haven't changed. Seems just yesterday I stumbled upon an aspiring young scholar from the undercity here, ruminating in his steel oasis. I heard your prognosis. I'm terribly sorry, my boy.
Do you contemplate death, Professor?
I suppose your legacy has been well-secured. As one of Piltover's founders, what haven't you to show for your remarkable life?
[sighs, looking sad] You should be proud of what you've accomplished, Viktor.
[sighs sadly] Figments. My contributions will be short-lived, even in your memory.
I have seen many students. It's a sad truth that those who shine brightest often burn fastest.
[entering Silco's office] We lost her.
[turning around in Silco's chair] Lost who?
[Sevika growls and steps forward, but trips one of Jinx's bombs, which releases toxic gas. Sevika coughs as Jinx puts on a gas mask. She reaches for the mask, and Jinx just waves mockingly as she passes out. In the next scene, she's unconscious and tied to a chair. Jinx, sitting on Silco's desk, slaps her awake.]
[leering] I feel like you and I got off on the wrong arm. [she takes Sevika's dagger and points it at her] Maybe we should try the other.
[chuckles] No need. It's your sister. [Jinx freezes, expression troubled] She's back. She's looking for you. [grins] It's not what you think. She's with some girl enforcer. Guess she replaced you.
[yanking her chair closer and stabbing the side of it] You're lying!
[chuckles] Why bother? Her back in town, it's only a matter of time before you implode. And Silco finally gets the message that you're about as good for our cause as you were for your family! [coldly] Jinx.
[seemingly begins to sob. Sevika smirks, until Jinx sneezes and kicks her chair backwards. She chuckles] Ten out of ten, toots! I think I know just how to deliver that message.
[runs forward, crying] Oh, Powder! [she hugs her. Jinx drops the Hextech gemstone, crying as well, and hugs Vi back] I'm so sorry, Powder. [brushes her tears away] I-I tried to come back. I promise, I did. But I... I got arrested.
I don't know. I-it doesn't matter. I just... I never thought I'd see you again. [she hugs her once more]
Yes, of course. It's me, Vi, your sister. I-I'm here. I'm right here.
[sobs] Things changed when you left. I changed.
I know, Pow-Pow, I know. You did what you had to do to survive. [sighs] Me too. It's okay. [pulls her back in] What matters is we're together.
[Caitlyn catches up, and Jinx spots her. She pulls out her machine gun]
It's okay. She's a friend.
Sevika wasn't lying? You're with an enforcer?!
[realizing] Your sister is Jinx?
Caitlyn, just listen, we can work this out.
This is a trick! You're playing me! [hallucinating Mylo and lifting her gun] Shut up! I'm in no mood!
Stop calling me that! It's Jinx now. Powder fell down a well.
You're not a jinx. God, I never should have-
Stop talking to me like I'm a child! [points her gun at Vi] Was that why you came? For this stupid stone? [chuckles]
[looking at the Hextech gemstone] No, I don't even know what that is, I...
[chuckling manically] You're a class act, sister. [to herself] Sister, thought I missed her. Bet you wouldn't miss her. [readies her trigger]
Powder! I'm here for you. Only you. [pushes the gun away] You can fire that thing if you want, but I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going to abandon you again. [she touches her arm and Jinx begins hallucinating again]
Everyone shut up! I need to think.
