My husband and I, we didn't trust people. There's just so much bad stuff out there. Started with locks, alarms and cameras, and then the wall. It felt safe, you know, just him and me against the world. But then he died, and it just felt more like a prison. Every day, I'd get the paper, and I'd think about going farther. But I never could. So then I thought, "Start with the wall. Just take the stupid thing down."
