I would change everything that brought us to this point. I would ask you to leave Gotham with me the first moment I saw you, and I would make sure we had a life together. Maybe that'd be a good thing.
No, it wouldn't. I'm not going back to who I was, but what you said yesterday about part of you always caring for me - I feel the same way. [they kiss] Goodbye. Now, go save Gotham.
They are en route to their positions as we speak. [leads Bruce forward to the window] From here, we can take in the full majesty of Gotham's destruction.
To be honest, Bruce: Prophecies, visions? Not really my cup of tea. But our friend revealed something to me: that my twin obsessions, rebuilding Gotham and rebuilding you, are one and the same. You're the brother I never had... the one Jerome never could be. [puts his hand on Bruce's shoulder] We will create a legacy, in this city. Gotham falls... we rise. Together.
[to Tabitha, after shooting Butch dead] Did you think I forgot you murdered my mother? That I just... got over it? I have lived with that pain every day. I could have killed you anytime I wanted, but I believe in an eye for an eye. You took away the one person I loved, so I took away the one person you love. And you get to live with that.
[Enraged, Tabitha attacks Cobblepot, but he shoots her in the leg]
The gangs are carving up territory; we're gonna have to go block by block. I have no idea what we're gonna find. [gestures at the searchlight] A thing like this brings out whatever's lurking in the shadows.
Doc says, the surgery's a success; my spine's not gonna turn to jelly. [sarcastically] I'm still never gonna be able to walk again, so... that's a bummer.
[scoffs]...You know what's funny? Jeremiah shot me to get to you. After all the things I've done... what did me in was being your friend. [turns away from Bruce] I just wish Jeremiah had killed me.
[Bruce stares at her for a moment, then stands to leave.]
NNurse
[quietly] Doctors can't help her. [Bruce stares at her] She needs the Witch.
I know you're all asking, "Why are we still here when our own government wont help us?" Simple. We're supposed to giving these people hope. Hope that if they're in danger, someone will come. We will come. Suit up!
You know, I wasn't lying when I said this park is changing. I'm feeding the Earth with these wretched creatures. It consumes them, and then it flourishes. I think I shall plant your body in the ground, Bruce. What will grow from you, I wonder?
I wouldn't waste my breath. I can see there's no good left in you. If you were trying to make this park flourish, it would be full of beauty and color. Instead, it smells of death.
