Ace and Soldier in “The Curse of Fenric”

Ace

There's a wind ripping up. I can feel it through my clothes. Is there a storm coming?

I wasn't expecting one.

Ace

The question is, is he making all the right moves, or only going through the motions?

What are you doing here?

Ace

You have to move faster than that if you want to keep up with me. Faster than light.

Faster than the second hand on a watch?

Ace

We're hardly moving yet. Hardly cruising speed. Sometimes I travel so fast I don't exist any more.

What can you see?

Ace

Undercurrents, bringing things to the surface. [Beat] I can't stay!

You promised!

Ace

I can't!
