[while discussing evidence against Morgan] This is all just coincidence.
A hell of a lot of coincidences.

[while discussing evidence against Morgan] This is all just coincidence.
A hell of a lot of coincidences.
We're dealing with a desperate detective here. Three dead boys and no evidence at all. So he applies the profile directly to someone he already suspected. It's easy to get tunnel vision that way.
"One begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." It's one of Sherlock Holmes' favorite quotes.
We need to figure out who really killed these boys before they decide to charge Morgan.
What do you want us to do?
The last victim was someone Morgan was seen with. Conveniently, Morgan was already a suspect in the other two.
Someone set him up?
We should consider Morgan a victim. Prentiss, you and Reid talk to his family, learn about him, especially around the time of the first murder.
We can't have people on this team who have secrets.
Come on, Hotch. We all have secrets. Would you want us profiling you?
You trying to say something to me right now.
Only if you're hiding something. You need to trust us. Trust us enough to tell us about it.
Gideon, it's not about trust. It's about having a little privacy. I got the right to keep something to myself. Look at us, man. We practically live together already.
[about molesting Morgan as a child] Derek, I never hurt you. You could have said no.
I pulled you out of the gutter.
I pulled myself out of the gutter! All the way to the FBI! I DID THAT!
Are you saying I had nothing to do with making you who you are?
No, Carl. Actually, I'm saying that you have everything to do with making me who I am. Because of you, I'm somebody who gets to spend the rest of this life making sure that guys like you go down.
Aristotle said, "Evil brings men together."
[to Morgan] Beauty can cover a multitude of sins, but underneath we all look exactly the same.
[opening a bag with a head inside] Who is this?
I believe the correct question would be "Who was this?"
You are a crazy son of a bitch.
We are all sons of bitches.
To get away with murder, you simply don't tell anyone.
The only people he told were the people he killed. And then he took from them what he needed: cash, credit cards...
I'm going to call Garcia and see if anything Catherine Hale owned was used after her death. [dials phone]
[to herself] And then he moved on to his next victim.
My hope is that one day you'll feel the way I do too.
If I ever find myself feeling the way you do, I'll kill myself.
Call me first. I'd love to pick your brains.
911, what's your emergency?
[whispering] I'm at 1527 Chestnut Drive.
I know where you're calling from, sir. What's your emergency?
Th-They are too greedy. They have too much.
Too much what?
Stuff, p-possessions, things they don't need.
Are you calling because these people have too much stuff, sir?
No, I'm calling because Raphael... [as Raphael] That's enough. [as himself] I don't want to! [as Raphael] He's calling because Raphael is going to kill the sinners that live here.
I'm sorry, did you say somebody is killing someone? [no response] Sir? Hello? Hello? [a scream is heard in the background]
[watching Morgan dance between two women] Hey, Morgan, be careful. The one in the back could take your wallet!
That's all right. I'll be a broke, happy man!
Condemned murderer Perry Smith said of his victims, the Clutter family, "I didn't have anything against them, and they never did anything wrong to me, the way other people have all my life. Maybe they're just the ones who have to pay for it."
Referring to oneself in the third person is not uncommon for an unsub. Ted Bundy gave thoroughly detailed accounts of his murders, but he never actually admitted doing any of them, he'd just say, "the killer."
