No one should have to choose between obeying the law and watching their son die.

[to Officer Vaill about Officer Callahan] Are you sleeping with him?
VOfficer Vaill
Let me be very clear, Detective Benson. I'd be more inclined to have an affair with you.
Got it.
Callahan's either a great guy or an unpredictable bastard, depending on who you talk to.
That's helpful.
It's better than Munch's "evil twin" theory.
[holds a newspaper] Take a look at this.
Yeah, we've seen it.
So has Arthur Branch, meaning I'll be a special kind of pain in your ass until this is sufficiently explained.
What the hell's all this? [sees the columns of boxes in Casey's office]
U.S. army's version of "bury me in paper." Their response to my subpoenas.
[to Novak] Conference room, NOW!
What's that about?
Oh, probably just another of the subpoenas I sent out.
For what?
Donald Rumsfeld.
Of the 4 drugs that work, 3 have to be taken daily. Quiniam is once a week. Easier to make sure soldiers take it.
When they're not killing themselves.
[to Dr. Trainer] Do you believe Quinium to be a safe drug?
Miss Novak, what we have not discussed is the fact that malaria is a highly deadly disease. It kills over 2,000,000 people worldwide every year. Every 12 seconds, a child dies from malaria.
That's very sad, Dr. Trainer. You didn't even attempt to answer my question.
[to Dr. Trainer] We had a shot at changing things, making them listen, making them stop. I don’t understand why you didn’t come to me, I could have helped you. And when the truth came out, they never could have touched you.
Ms. Novak, you are very young, and that is not the way the world works.
[Stabler poses as a sex offender to gain Ray Schenkel's trust]
RRay
Get the van. We'll have a good time with it.
You're not a fag, are you?
RRay
No. I thought we could use it to pick up girls. [pause] You in?
Oh, yeah.
RRay
[to Stabler, after learning the truth] I've always been a great judge of character. So I've been sitting here wondering how I could have been so wrong about you. [pause] Maybe I wasn't. Some of what you said was a load of crap, but not all of it. I can see it. You and me, we're brothers under the skin. People think sex offenders are different. We're aliens, drooling fiends lurking in the bushes. We're just like everybody else. Why are pictures of young girls plastered all over billboards, half-naked, mouths open, legs spread, peddlin' ass to sell clothes? If it didn't turn us on, they wouldn't do it.
You're only doing what other men dream.
RRay
But your dreams are much darker, aren't they? You try to hide the evil inside you, but I can smell it. You got me the van. You egged me on.
Don't blame this on me. You took that girl on your own.
RRay
You wanted me to rape again. You're as guilty as I am.
The only explanation is a technique called "Electro-ejaculation".
I don't like the sound of that.
[picks up a metal rod attached to a power box] Nothing to it. Insert this end in the rectum and electric shock causes an involuntary ejaculation.
I thought I'd heard of every sex crime.
Damn, who thinks this stuff up?
Novak let you off, didn't she?
AApril
Yeah.
I'm glad.
AApril
Why?
Because you don't deserve to be a mother and I'm gonna make sure you never see that child again.
AApril
Good. Maybe the kid might have a chance.
[about Maria] Nobody would invent the nightmare that she has been through! Why are you trying to poke holes in her story rather than trying to find her, because Munch found some spook toy?!
Whoever's doing this likes spook toys. He's already using at least one device.
[Fin approaches Munch and Benson looking at incriminating photos of Maria]
Detective Tutuola, come and pollute your soul with some child porn, my friend.
