“Baldrick, fetch my novel.” – Blackadder

Baldrick, fetch my novel.

Baldrick

Your novel?

Yes, Baldrick, the big papery thing tied up with string.

Baldrick

Like the thing we burnt?

Exactly like the thing we burnt.

Baldrick

So you're asking for the big papery thing tied up with string exactly like the thing we burnt?

Exactly.

Baldrick

We burnt it.

[calmly enraged] So we did. Thank you, Baldrick. Seven years of my life up in smoke. [to Prince George] Your Highness, may I be excused for a moment?

Oh, by all means.

[closes the doors behind him; outside] OH, GOD! NO!!! [calmly returns] Thank you, sir.
